Device whitelist blocks my CIT login

Add the new device from a computer that can still log in. If you have none, use recovery.

Steps

1. Add the new computer to the whitelist

   Only if you can still log in on a computer that is already allowed.

   On the computer that is already allowed, type /security and open Device Whitelist. On the new computer, press F8 and type serial. Then add that serial as its own line in that official Device Whitelist.

2. Use recovery

   Only if you cannot log in on any computer that is already allowed.

   Use recovery through your linked email to allow the new device, or ask Account Retrieval for help.
