CIT fix

Forum linking fails or my forum password is wrong

Use your forum username and your forum password. The forum password is separate from your game password.

Steps

1. Use your forum username and password

Use the forum username, not its display name. Use the forum password. Changing your in game password does not change it.

2. Link the account inside CIT

Only if you can log in to CIT and know your forum username and password.

Type /security and open Forum. Type the forum username and forum password only there, then choose Link forum account.

3. Recover the account you cannot get into

If you do not know the username or password, use the official recovery instructions for that account. Use Account Retrieval if the normal recovery is not available.
