CIT fix
Effects disappear when FPS drops
CIT turns effects down by itself when your FPS goes below your Minimum FPS setting.
Steps
Compare your FPS with Minimum FPS
Your FPS is at the top right, beside Food and Ping. Open /settings, go to Graphics > FRAME RATE and read Minimum FPS. Its default is 30.
Check the effect itself
Below Minimum FPS, fewer effects and a shorter view distance are normal. Above it, look at the effect in /settings: Good Textures, Car Reflection Shader and Detail Shader each have their own FPS number.
Turn optional effects down if FPS is low
Only if your FPS is lower than you want.
To get more FPS, turn off one optional effect at a time. Raising Minimum FPS does not create more FPS.
This does not mean your textures or game files are broken.
Other problems like this
- FPS stays at 70, 36 or another limit
- Low FPS on CIT
- My own shader stays visible after I disable custom textures
- The wrong character appears instead of my selected skin
- A large skin is partly invisible
- Could not draw vehicle reflection shader
