Iron Miner, also called LV Miner, is a civilian mining job in Las Venturas where you mine for cash.
How the job works
Iron Miner is part of the mining job category.
It is the only mining job that pays cash instead of resources, even though the mining jobs share the same general level system.
In Iron Miner, you mine at Hunter Quarry and receive cash directly.
How to start
To start Iron Miner:
- Use /gps or F3 to find Iron Miner.
- Find a high integrity area.
- Face a wall.
- Press Left Mouse Button to start mining.
How it works
Iron Miner works by hitting rocks to mine for cash.
One mining action takes 5 seconds.
Cash for mined rocks is paid together about every 2 minutes.
Vehicles and Movement
The Hunter Quarry selector offers Quadbike, Sanchez, Baggage, and Caddy. There are no vehicle or jetpack restrictions.
Iron Miners can recover the Quad without VIP. The job window shows Non-VIP recoverable vehicle: Quad.

Iron Miner, also called LV Miner, pays cash only. Rank does not change the cash per mine. The table shows the pay for one mine. The game pays your mines in one batch about every 2 minutes. With VIP and the Minerals course, the batch is rounded down twice: first $715 x mines x 1.1 for Minerals, then x 1.2 for VIP. For example, 3 mines pay $2,830, 5 mines pay $4,718, and 10 mines pay $9,438, not 10 x $943. With VIP alone, a batch is $858 x mines. With no bonus, it is $715 x mines.

Current Hunter Quarry access
Iron Miner has no Employment Office marker. Use /gps and select Iron Miner (LV), then take the job at the local Hunter Quarry marker. The vehicle selector offers Quadbike, Sanchez, Baggage, and Caddy.
Face the mine wall and press LMB to mine. When loose rock appears, walk over it to inspect it. If This area was overly mined. No resources left here, go elsewhere! appears, move to another mining area. The HUD shows mining progress, Integrity, level and rank progress, pay information, and current area state. Iron Miner currently pays cash only. The shared Miner rank does not increase its cash payout.
