Space Miner

Space Miner is a civilian mining job in Tierra Robada where you go to space and mine resources such as gold, oil, and chemicals.

How the job works

Space Miner is a separate mining job from Iron Miner, LS Miner, and Cave Miner.

It takes you from Earth to space, where you search for a mining spot and extract resources.

Space Miner uses the shared mining level system. VIP hours and /courses also boost Space Miner pay.

How to start

To start Space Miner:

  1. Take the job at the Tierra Robada launch pad.
  2. Step onto the launch pad to spawn the rocket.
  3. Fly to the asteroid bridge.

How it works

After reaching space:

  1. Keep moving until Radiation Distance appears.
  2. Lower it to 15.
  3. Wait for the loading bar to extract resources.

Resources

Space Miner gives:

  • Gold
  • Oil
  • Chemicals

Space Miner does not find Uranium or Iron.

Radiation Distance

The modified Geiger counter detects resources within 100. Move in a direction that lowers Radiation Distance; extraction begins when it reaches 15. The distance is shown above your head and on a Radiation Distance progress bar.

Returning To Earth

To leave space, use:

  • The Rapid Transport marker on the asteroid bridge
  • /leaveevent to leave the space mine quickly

Oil is floor(34 x Miner rank multiplier x VIP x Minerals) and Chemicals are floor(2 x Miner rank multiplier x VIP x Minerals). The shared Miner rank multiplier is 1.0 at L0 and rises by 0.2 per level to 3.0 at L10. VIP is 1.2 when active and Minerals is 1.05 when completed, otherwise 1. Gold stays at 4 grams, or 5 with Minerals, at every rank and VIP status.

With Minerals at L10, 25 or 26 VIP extractions usually fill the $540,000 hourly earn limit, about 24 minutes after the first extraction of the hour. Without VIP it takes 24 or 25 extractions for $450,000. The counter uses the bundle's F7 value, so prices affect the count.

Oil, Gold and Chemicals stop once you are over the hourly earn limit and start again at the next hour. They are not reduced to 10% like cash payments.

  • Use jetpack or Hydra to reach space quickly
  • Use Rapid Transport to leave space
  • You can also fly back with a jetpack or use /kill to respawn on Earth

Current launch and extraction flow

The Employment Office destination and /gps > Space Miner (Tierra Robada) lead to the same launch pad. The local marker assigns the spacesuit automatically and uses skin ID 252. Press N there to return to the Employment Office.

The modified Geiger counter detects the nearest resource within 100 and displays Radiation Distance. Move in a direction that lowers it. The extraction bar starts at 15. The HUD shows Miner level and progress, Mined, Top player, job earnings and earn limit, and Radiation Distance, which also appears above your head and as a progress bar.

Level 10 shortcut

At Miner Level 10, use /go Space Miner to travel to the job. Space Miner uses the shared Miner level system rather than a separate level.
