LS Miner is a civilian mining job in East Los Santos where you mine different rock types for resources.
How the job works
LS Miner is different from Iron Miner, Cave Miner, and Space Miner.
It is a separate mining job in Los Santos.
LS Miner has random bedrock growths, a bigger mine, and rare diamond drops.
Diamonds from LS Miner are used for crafting wedding rings.
LS Miner can be marked in /gps.

How to start
To start LS Miner:
- Go to LS Miner in East Los Santos.
- Walk up to a rock.
- Press Left Mouse Button to start mining.
If you want to stop mining, press Left Mouse Button again.
How it works
LS Miner is based on mining different rock types.
You walk up to a rock and mine it directly.
Different rock colors give different resources.
Resources
LS Miner can give:
- Iron Ore from dark grey rocks
- Explosives Ore from light yellow rocks
- Gold Ore from gold colored rocks
Rare diamonds can also drop in the LS mine.
Diamonds can appear with Iron extraction ticks as well as Gold Ore and Explosives Ore. About 1 extraction tick in 1,000 to 1,300 gives a diamond. Use /qs diamonds to check your total. They are rare bonus drops, not a guaranteed ore payout.

LS Miner has no Chemicals mode. Diamond is a rare random bonus from the LS mine and is not part of the normal pay table.

Progress saving
LS Miner progress and collected resources are saved every 20% of mine progress.
Current Las Colinas mine
The current in game job label is Miner. Start at the Las Colinas mine in Los Santos. Press N at its local marker to return to the Employment Office.
Press the fire control near a rock to enable selection. Left-click a rock to start or right-click to cancel selection; press fire again during mining to stop. If This rock is too far away! appears, move closer. The HUD shows Miner level and progress, mined resources, Top player, job earnings and earn limit, and the remaining valuable ore. When the shared mine is depleted, everyone is warped out and a newly generated layout replaces it. Miner sound effects work in the LS mine.
Ore yields and leaving the mine
Gold and Explosives units are the cash-equivalent tick value divided by the resource's current F7 Average, rounded down. For example, a tick gives 1 unit at L0 and 5 at L10 with VIP and Minerals. When the Explosives price is lower, a tick at L10 with VIP and Minerals can give 6 Explosives. A special ore block gives 5 guaranteed ticks. A plain rock succeeds on roughly 50% of ticks, so its total varies. L10 with VIP and Minerals gives 72 Iron per successful tick or 360 per Iron Ore block. Hourly Double Earnings doubles Iron per extraction, such as 144 instead of 72. Use /leaveevent to leave the mine quickly. To return to the Employment Office, use the local Miner marker and press N at the return prompt.
Mining resources stop once you are over the hourly earn limit and resume at the next real-life hour. They are not reduced to a 10% resource payment.
At L10 with VIP and Minerals, 170 extraction ticks fill the hourly earn limit, whatever the mix of Iron, Gold and Explosives. Each tick counts as $3,168.
