Jail

Jail in CIT is split into 2 main types.

One is the normal law jail for wanted players.

The other is staff punishment jail, which is used by staff as a rule punishment.

Overview

Jail is not one single system.

There are 2 separate jail types:

Law jail
Staff punishment jail

These 2 jails are used for different reasons and work differently.

Law Jail

Law jail is the normal criminal jail.

This is where wanted players are sent after being caught by the law side.

How players get sent to law jail

Wanted players are sent to jail after being caught by police.

Police can do this in 2 ways:

Kill the wanted player
Taze the wanted player and arrest them with the nightstick

Most players kill.

Police cannot arrest players inside vehicles with the nightstick.

Jail time

Law jail time depends on the player's wanted level.

Paying the jail fine

Players can pay their jail fine with:

/payjailfine

Important note:

You need cash in hand
Bank money does not work

There are also settings for:

Automatically Pay Jail Fine
Auto Jail Fine Max Payment

What jailed players can do inside

Players in law jail can:

Change skin
Use CJ clothes
Choose a walkstyle
Switch fight styles
Use the gambling machines

Escaping law jail

There are ways to escape law jail.

A jailed player can escape if a helicopter lands inside the prison yard.

Criminals and Gangsters can also help prisoners escape from outside.

To do that:

Go to the jail near Skate Park and Jefferson Hospital.

Be on the Criminal or Gangster side.

Enter the white marker.

Stay there for 10 seconds.

The gate will open.

Helping prisoners escape gives 25 wanted level.

Prison release

Prison release is a Protected Area.

This means:

Wanted players can only jog there
Cops can still taze and arrest there
Recently damaged wanted players stay vulnerable briefly to stop abuse

Staff Punishment Jail

Staff punishment jail is separate from law jail.

It is a rule punishment used by staff.

Staff choose the jail time based on the offense.

This jail is not part of the normal wanted and arrest system.

Escaping staff punishment jail

Players jailed by admin cannot escape the prison.

Main Difference

The main difference between the 2 jail types is:

Law jail is for wanted players caught by police
Staff punishment jail is a staff rule punishment

Law jail is tied to wanted level, arrests, prison release, and prison escape.

Staff punishment jail is based on the offense and is chosen by staff.

Players in staff punishment jail cannot escape the prison.
