Van Heist is a public Criminal Event in CIT where criminals try to hijack and deliver a van while cops try to stop them.

Van Heist is:

  • part of the `Criminal Event` cycle
  • a team-based criminals-versus-cops event
  • based around controlling and delivering a van

Event Cycle

Van Heist is part of the `CE` cycle and happens:

  • every `4th CE`

How Van Heist Works

To do the Van Heist:

  1. wait for the Van Heist to start
  2. get into the Securicar if it is empty, or take it from the other team
  3. drive it to the marked destination

While it is active:

  • use /vanheist to check it
  • press N after using /vanheist to mark it on your map

If nobody has been in the van for:

  • `150` seconds

then:

  • the Van Heist ends
  • the cops count as winning

Timer and Tracking

To check the Van Heist timer:

  • use /vanheist

If Van Heist is already running:

  • press N after using /vanheist to mark the location on your map

Van Heist Rules

The documented Van Heist rules are:

  • jetpacks are disabled within `200m` of the van
  • any criminal within `20m` of a cop-driven van gets wanted
  • the van stops if surrounded by enemies
  • the in-event radius is `40m`
  • stingers do not affect the Van Heist vehicle
  • the Van Heist blip is visible to medics

Rewards

Van Heist rewards:

  • scale with online players

The money reward is documented as:

  • depending on how long you escorted the van

The winning team also gets:

  • `20%` more XP for `30` minutes

Completing the delivery also gives your team:

  • a `30` minute XP boost

RP Reward

Van Heist gives:

  • `100+ RP` depending on distance
