Gangster
Gangster
Gangster is one of the 4 main sides in CIT.
It is the side focused on groups, turf wars, Briefcases, Hijack missions, and gangster PvP.
Overview
Gangster is a group-based side.
It is mainly built around:
- Turfing
- Group fights
- Briefcases
- Hijack missions
- Gangster PvP
Gangsters mainly make money from:
- Turf payouts
- Group rewards
- Briefcases
- Hijack missions
Gangster gameplay is split into 2 main cities:
- Los Santos
- Las Venturas
Los Santos and Las Venturas do not work exactly the same, so they are usually explained separately.
How To Become a Gangster
To become a gangster:
- Use /gangster
- Or press X and click Go Gangster
After becoming a gangster, the main thing to do is join a gang or group first.
Then focus on turfing, Briefcases, Hijack missions, and /highlight.
How the Gangster Side Works
Gangster is different from the Criminal side.
Gangsters focus on groups, turfs, and gangster tools.
A lot of gangster gameplay is based on group control and group fighting, not solo play.
Turfs belong to groups, not solo players.
LS and LV
Gangster gameplay is split between LS and LV.
LS Gangster
LS gangster gameplay focuses on:
- LS turfing
- Graffiti
- Influence control
- Group turf fights
Los Santos has 39 turfs.
Several LS turfs are drug turfs.
LS turfs reset every 7 days.
LV Gangster
LV gangster gameplay focuses on:
- LV turfing
- Turf wars
- Briefcases
- Hijack missions
- Group fights
Las Venturas has 78 turfs:
- 60 land turfs
- 13 sea turfs
- 5 oil turfs
Oil turfs are the 5 LV turfs that give oil instead of cash.
One important difference is:
- LV Gangsters can use grenades and RPGs
- LS Gangsters cannot
Turfing
Turfing is gangster PvP where groups fight for map areas and fill the capture bar to 100% to take control.
To turf properly, you need:
- Gangster side
- A gang or group
How turfing works:
- Enter the turf zone as a gangster in a group.
- Stay inside it to build control.
- Defend it while your group builds the bar.
Important turfing rules include:
- Up to 4 players from the same group count for standing progress
- Getting killed lowers your group's control
- Defending or re-entering the turf stops the other group from taking it
In LV, the turf is taken by standing in it and defending it.
In LS, turfing also uses graffiti and influence control.
If a group has nobody online in LV, its turf percent drops 3 times faster.
Turf Rewards
Holding turfs gives group rewards.
These can include:
A defended turf gives your group reputation.
Holding it also keeps its passive payout.
Turfing also gives 120+ RP depending on your activity and time in the turf.
Other Gangster Activities
Briefcase
Briefcase is a gangster-only competitive task in LS or LV.
A Briefcase spawns randomly on the map.
A gangster picks it up and runs it on foot to the van blip while other players try to kill them and steal it.
While carrying it:
- You cannot glue
- You cannot enter vehicles
- You can use /dropitem to drop it
In LS, the Briefcase shows as a brown briefcase blip.
In LV, it shows as a green dollar sign.
Hijack
Hijack is a gangster mission.
To start it:
- Join gangster side.
- Look for the purple car blip.
- Enter the vehicle to start the mission.
Other gangsters can interfere and steal the vehicle if you are too slow or stop moving.
Hijack gives cash and 1,000 RP.
The cash reward depends on gangster count and delivery distance.
Weed Farm
Weed Farm is a gangster-only harvest activity.
Use /weedtime to check whether the harvest is ready.
Go to Weed Farm with a Combine Harvester and harvest the field to collect 1000 weed.
Harvesting also gives wanted points.
Commands and Tools
Useful gangster commands and tools include:
- /gangster
- /highlight
- /lasttakeover
- /weedtime
- /dropitem
Use F11 to check turfs on the map.
In LS, you may need to zoom in more to see the turf clusters clearly.
Use /highlight to mark groups or players so they are easier to track in fights.
Gangster Highlight has these tabs:
- Group
- Players
- Customize
Group highlights stay after reconnecting or logging in.
Use /lasttakeover to see who made the last LS and LV takeover and when it happened.
