Vehicle boost use

NOS and nitro refer to the tradable Nitrous resource. Start the vehicle engine, then hold the Fire bind, which is Left Mouse Button by default. Nitrous is consumed while increasing the vehicle's speed.

Get more Nitrous from F7, Fuel Transporter, Train Driver, Fisherman, Nitrous Factory, or /race.

Using Nitrous in a vehicle

Nitrous is the tradable NOS resource. Hold Left Mouse Button while driving to consume it and increase vehicle speed. Obtain more from F7, Fuel Transporter, Train Driver, Fisherman, the Nitrous Factory, or /race.

Vehicle and jetpack use

Nitrous is consumed by supported vehicle boosts. Jetpack also consumes Nitrous in the main and race dimensions. The item can be obtained from Fuel Transporter, Train Driver, Fisherman, Nitrous Factory, racing, or F7.

Boost consumption and Reefer unloading

Vehicle boost consumes the Nitrous in your inventory. A Reefer unload pays 30% of converted catch units as Nitrous, rounded down.

Race cash prizes are converted into Engine Parts using the current average sale price. First through fourth place receive 12, 9, 6, and 3 Engine Parts respectively, on top of that converted cash prize. Selecting Nitrous pays 25x the corresponding Engine Parts reward.

Observed race totals include 24 Engine Parts (600 Nitrous) for first place with two racers, 18 (450) for second place with two, and 30 (750) for first place with three. These are examples, not fixed rewards for every conversion price.
