What is a Gangster?
Gangster is one of the 4 main sides in CIT.
A Gangster is a player who has chosen a criminal path and engages in activities such as turfing, fighting other gangsters, and participating in various criminal actions. To become a gangster, simply type the command
/gangster
in the chat.

Main Objectives of a Gangster
It is the side focused on groups, turf wars, Briefcases, Hijack missions, and gangster PvP.
The primary activities for gangsters revolve around turfing and defending turfs, as well as engaging in gang wars with rival factions. Gangsters are also involved in the following:

* Claiming turfs
Overview
* Defending turfs
* Fighting other gangsters
* Gang wars

----
Gangster is a group-based side.

Turfing in LV
It is mainly built around:
What is Turfing? Turfing is the act of capturing and controlling gang territories in LV (Las Venturas) and LS (Los Santos). As a gangster, your main goal is to capture enemy turfs and defend your own from rival gangsters.

How to Turf?
* Turfing
* Group fights
* Briefcases
* Hijack missions
* Gangster PvP

# To start turfing, you must be a member of a group.
Gangsters mainly make money from:
# Enter a turf as a gangster and stay in it.
# Your group name will appear in the bottom-right corner of the screen once you're inside the turf.

How to Take a Turf?
* Turf payouts
* Group rewards
* Briefcases
* Hijack missions

* To capture a turf, stay in the area until it reaches 50% progress. Once it reaches this threshold, the turf will be yours, and the enemy group's name will disappear.
Gangster gameplay is split into 2 main cities:
* You can leave the turf once it reaches 90%. However, if another player enters the turf while it’s above 90%, you will start losing the turf, so ensure it stays above 90% before leaving.

What to Do if Someone Attacks Your Turf?
* Los Santos
* Las Venturas

* If your turf is under attack, return to the turf and eliminate the enemy gangsters. Afterward, you can re-claim the turf.
Los Santos and Las Venturas do not work exactly the same, so they are usually explained separately.

How Do I Know if My Turf is Under Attack?
How To Become a Gangster
* Your turf's color will flash on the map, and you'll receive a message at the top of the screen indicating that the turf is being attacked.
To become a gangster:

What Happens if I Die While Turfing?
* Use /gangster
* Or press X and click Go Gangster

* If you die during a turf war, you will respawn at your closest turf. If your group has no turfs or if your turf is under attack, you will respawn at the hospital or the next closest turf.
After becoming a gangster, the main thing to do is join a gang or group first.

Rewards for Turfing:
Then focus on turfing, Briefcases, Hijack missions, and /highlight.

* Turfing will increase your turfing stats, and you will earn money, reputation points, and occasionally drugs. The amount of money depends on the number of members online in your group. Additionally, oil turfs can reward you with 540-590 oil per group member and per taken turf.
How the Gangster Side Works
How Many Turfs Are There in LV?
Gangster is different from the Criminal side.

* In LV, there are a total of 78 turfs:
Gangsters focus on groups, turfs, and gangster tools.
** 60 land turfs
** 5 oil turfs
** 13 sea turfs

----
A lot of gangster gameplay is based on group control and group fighting, not solo play.

Turfing in LS
Turfs belong to groups, not solo players.
As a gangster, the primary focus is on turfing and engaging in gang wars. Below are the key activities a gangster can participate in:

* Gangsters can claim and defend turfs in LS. Unlike LV, the turfing system in LS has its own unique mechanics.
LS and LV
* Reputation Points (RP) are awarded based on the number of turfs you hold and the number of gangsters online.

Fighting Other Gangsters:
Gangster gameplay is split between LS and LV.

* Gangsters can kill other gangsters anywhere outside of Armed Robberies (AR) and Criminal Events (CE).
LS Gangster
* You can attack rival gangsters in turf wars or outside of turfs.

Special Abilities:
LS gangster gameplay focuses on:

* Gangsters can use Molotovs only when they have a wanted level.
* LS turfing
* Gangsters are assigned a special purple color and purple blip color.
* Graffiti
* Influence control
* Group turf fights

* Official Criminal Groups:
Los Santos has 39 turfs.
** Gangsters can belong to an official criminal group and have their group job moved into the gangster team.

Turf Pay:
Several LS turfs are drug turfs.

* Turfing in LS will reward you with reputation points based on the number of turfs your group holds.
LS turfs reset every 7 days.
* The turf pay is distributed as follows:
** 50% to the group if the player is in the lowest group rank.
** 10% to the group if the group has a level.
** 0% if the group does not have a level.

Gangster Restrictions
LV Gangster
While gangsters have access to many features, there are certain restrictions:

Jetpack Restrictions
LV gangster gameplay focuses on:

* Gangsters cannot use a jetpack in the main dimension.
* LV turfing
* Using a jetpack in the last 180 seconds will restrict you from becoming a gangster.
* Turf wars
* Briefcases
* Hijack missions
* Group fights

Custom Respawns
Las Venturas has 78 turfs:

* If a gangster kills another gangster, they won't be able to select custom respawns to prevent abuse.
* 60 land turfs
* 13 sea turfs
* 5 oil turfs

Turf Reset
Oil turfs are the 5 LV turfs that give oil instead of cash.

* LS turfs will reset every 168 hours (7 days).
One important difference is:

Gangster Rewards
* LV Gangsters can use grenades and RPGs
* LS Gangsters cannot

* Reputation Points (RP): Gangsters gain RP for actions such as turfing, hijacking, and delivering briefcases.
Turfing
* Money: Gangsters earn money through various activities like briefcase deliveries and hijack missions.

----
Turfing is gangster PvP where groups fight for map areas and fill the capture bar to 100% to take control.

What is a Briefcase?
To turf properly, you need:
Briefcases are special items that spawn randomly in LS. They are crucial for gangsters to grab and deliver for money and reputation points.

How to Handle a Briefcase?
* Gangster side
* A gang or group

* Pick up the briefcase and deliver it to the van blip on your map.
How turfing works:
* Other gangsters can try to steal the briefcase from you, so be prepared to defend it.

What Do I Get for Successfully Delivering the Briefcase?
# Enter the turf zone as a gangster in a group.

* In LS, you receive $25,000 and 50 wanted points for each successful briefcase delivery.
# Stay inside it to build control.
* In LV, you earn money based on the number of gangsters online and your distance traveled.

Super Briefcase:
# Defend it while your group builds the bar.

* A Super Briefcase offers higher rewards:
Important turfing rules include:
** $100,000 in LS.
** 500% more money in LV.

----
* Up to 4 players from the same group count for standing progress
* Getting killed lowers your group's control
* Defending or re-entering the turf stops the other group from taking it

Hijack Mission
In LV, the turf is taken by standing in it and defending it.
What is Hijack?

* Hijack is a mission where gangsters steal vehicles and deliver them to a truck for cash and reputation points.
In LS, turfing also uses graffiti and influence control.

How to Start Hijack?
If a group has nobody online in LV, its turf percent drops 3 times faster.

* Look for the CJ blip on the map and enter the hijack vehicle.
Turf Rewards
* Deliver the vehicle to the truck blip marked on the map.

Can Other Gangsters Steal the Hijack from Me?
Holding turfs gives group rewards.

* Yes, other gangsters can steal the hijacked vehicle if you don't deliver it quickly enough.
These can include:

What Do I Get for Successfully Delivering the Hijack Vehicle?
* Passive income
* Group reputation or XP
* Drugs
* Oil
* Iron
* Other resources

* Money rewards depend on the number of criminal gangsters online and the distance you travel. You typically earn over $20,000 and 1,000 reputation points.
A defended turf gives your group reputation.

----
Holding it also keeps its passive payout.

Weed Farming
Turfing also gives 120+ RP depending on your activity and time in the turf.
* Gangsters can harvest weed at the weed farm.
* Use
/weedtime
to know when the weed is ready and
/gps
to locate the farm.

Armed Robberies (ARs):
Use /weedtime to check whether the harvest is ready.

* ARs are auto-heists that start every 3 minutes. Similar to CEs, ARs provide rewards, but the main focus for gangsters is turfing and gang wars.
