Protected Area
Protected Area is a safe-zone system in CIT. It is used in specific places where normal damage is restricted.
Overview
Protected Areas are safe zones such as:
- hospitals
- the `LSPD` yard
- Villa spawn
- prison release
They are used to protect players in those areas while still allowing some law actions.
How Protected Areas work
Inside a Protected Area:
- wanted players cannot be damaged
- wanted players can only jog
- cops can still taze wanted players
- cops can still arrest wanted players
Protected Areas are meant to stop normal damage, but they do not fully block law enforcement.
Wanted players in Protected Areas
Wanted players are limited while inside a Protected Area.
Rules for wanted players:
- they cannot be damaged there
- they can only jog
- they can still be tazed by cops
- they can still be arrested by cops
This means a Protected Area is not a full escape from the wanted system.
Recent damage protection check
A player does not become fully protected immediately if they enter a Protected Area right after taking damage outside.
If you enter a Protected Area right after taking damage outside:
- you stay vulnerable for a few seconds
This is used to stop Protected Area abuse.
Known Protected Area examples
The supported examples listed here are:
- hospitals
- `LSPD` yard
- Villa spawn
- prison release
LSPD yard
The `LSPD` yard is a Protected Area for police.
It is used for:
- regrouping
- lining up
- preparing for riots
- preparing for other law activity
Group base Protected Area
A group base can also have a Protected Area setting.
To turn it on or off:
- press
X - click Protected Area in the base settings
Safe zone freeze
There is no active safe zone freeze right now.
The old AFK freeze in safe zones was disabled.
Notes
- Protected Areas are safe zones, not normal combat areas.
- Wanted players are still restricted and can still be arrested there.
- Entering a Protected Area right after taking damage does not make you safe instantly.
