Traffic Officer

Traffic Officer is a specialist police job in CIT. It is part of the police side and keeps normal police powers, but it focuses on speed enforcement and spike-strip use.

Overview

Traffic Officers:

are part of the police side
keep the same powers as a regular police officer
focus on catching speeders with the camera
use /stinger spike strips
can still arrest wanted criminals like normal cops

How to Unlock Traffic Officer

Traffic Officer unlocks at:

50 arrests

After it is unlocked:

you still need to go to the job marker to take the job

100,000 Arrest Points

you can use:

/go Traffic Officer

as a quick switch.

What Traffic Officers Do

Traffic Officer is the police-side job for:

speed enforcement
issuing speeding fines
placing spike strips
standard police arrests and wanted-player enforcement

Traffic Officers still keep:

normal arrest powers

Catching Speeders

To catch speeders:

aim at a vehicle with your camera
if it is going over 110 km/h, you can detect the speed
you can then fine the driver

Speeding Fines

The maximum speeding fine is:

$20,000

Traffic Officers keep:

90% of the fine

Stingers

Use:

/stinger

to place spike strips.

Stinger details:

they last about 1 minute
they have a 7 second cooldown

Restrictions:

police cannot place stingers within 50 meters of an active Armed Robbery

Wanted players can destroy stingers.

Damage to stingers:

normal weapons do 10% damage
shotguns do 50% damage
sniper rifles do 50% damage

Traffic Officer Vehicles

The main Traffic Officer recovery vehicle is:

HPV1000

Cops can recover:

HPV1000 from any location without VIP for Traffic Officer
HPV1000 near a Police Station without VIP

Traffic Officers can also use:

/stinger inside the Advanced Hummer

Recovery Without VIP

Traffic Officer has non-VIP recovery support through:

HPV1000

Without VIP:

recovered law vehicles go to the nearest vehicle spawner

With VIP:

recovered law vehicles can be brought directly to your location

Traffic Officer unlocks at 50 arrests
Police Detective unlocks at 150 arrests
Bomb Disposal unlocks at 300 arrests

Police levels later unlock:
