CIT Rules

The rules outlined below ensure fair gameplay and respectful interaction within the CIT community. Although they may seem long, this detail helps prevent confusion and ensures transparency in enforcement.

In-Game Rules

Offences punishable in any way

1. Actions considered disruptive behaviour:
  • A: Clearly harassing a player by doing multiple actions which they can do nothing to stop such as a criminal repeatedly punching another criminal.
  • B: Intentionally impersonating another player, group, squad or duty.
  • C: Intentionally wasting administrators time like making multiple false reports.
  • D: Sabotage - Such as kicking people from a group for no reason.
2. Actions which give an unfair advantage:
  • A. Cheating - Any kind of hacking / cheat / network disruption / macro / serial changing.
  • B. Minor Exploiting - Excludes something other players can see you do, learn from and copy.
  • C. Moderate Exploiting - Exploiting like being APB and letting a friend kill you.
  • D. Major Exploiting - Major abuse like infinite money exploit.
  • E. Scamming - Intentionally lying to someone to make an unfair gain.
3. Miscellaneous offences:
  • A. Evasion - Evading a punishment should result in the same punishment with a duration no greater than 10 times the original.
  • B. Assisting Evasion - Knowingly assisting someone in the evasion of a punishment should result in the same punishment.
  • C. Real Harm - Causing or threatening anyone with anything that would harm or interfere with their real life.

Offences punishable by mute

  • Posting at least 2 non-English messages in main or team chat.
  • Misuse of a chat that is for a specific thing like support and contact admin.
  • Highly abusive words like "cunt", "twat", "cock sucker".
  • CIT is somewhere everyone should be able to come to escape real world problems. Do not bring real world problems here. Don't bring up: conflicts, especially current conflicts, terrorism, political, cultural and religious beliefs which divide humanity.
  • Racial insults like "nigger", "fucking arab".
  • Homophobic insults like "fag".
  • Offering an un-guaranteed transfer like trying to sell a CITy zone.
  • Cyberbullying which is repeatedly harrasing someone, spreading lies about them, or that they should cause harm to themselves or others.
  • Insult directed at someone's real life identity, like their age, family, life choices and circumstances.
  • Threatening or causing someone any real life harm including emotional suffering.
  • Advertising another MTA server or repeatedly advertising something not CIT related.
  • Anything which is illegal (something considered illegal by a majority of countries) content.
  • Sharing (or threatening to share) private data.
  • Intending to cause drama such as by repeatedly arguing or useless negative comments like "dead server".
  • Harmful lying. Such as telling a player to use '/quit'.

Offences punishable by serial / account limitations:

  • Attempting to sell something in-game for payment in something outside of the game, limit of up to 5 years.
  • Scamming or attempting to scam, limit of up to 5 years.
  • Attempting to profit from an un-guaranteed transfer like selling a zone, max 3 month limit for first offence, 1 year second offence, 5 year for third.

Forum Rules

  1. Illegal, dangerous or highly disgusting, copyright infringing content or links to such content isn't permitted. Plagiarising others players own made goods are not allowed. Group applications are not allowed to demand any information from the applicant which could be used for cyberbullying such as personal information.
  2. Submissions to the forum must be honest and not intended to mislead anyone such as by stating an opinion as a fact. Content should not be intended to harm or heavily offend another community player by being nasty, trollish, discriminating, slandering or ungrateful towards other players. The content of your post must respect the board rules which are usually found in a sticky topic on the respective boards. Do NOT create useless drama in forum. Examples of drama are, but not limited to, continuously going on about a subject that was already answered / handled by a staff, continuously complaining administrative entities and their decisions, repeatedly complaining the same group of people for petty reasons, useless negative posts like "CIT is dead". Misusing forum mod access to edit 3rd party posts and change the text into nasty/toxic content while the original poster is unaware of the change falls into this rule too.
  3. Do not post useless or repetitive messages. This is only punishable in serious topics. Posting AI written comments as your own is a useless post.
  4. The content of your profile must be appropriate which means that it must respect the forum rules and does not contain disturbing images. Disturbing images such as anything obviously disgusting, an evil person responsible for crimes against humanity, any image with the sole intent to anger other forum users, etc. Animated images aren't permitted. Names must only contain alphabetic letters, numerical or standard keyboard characters.
  5. Multi-accounting is not allowed, your lesser used account may be deleted. Posting on behalf of someone makes you responsible for possible rules infringement and will get you punished accordingly.
  6. Do not send PMs (or using the @ mention system) to staff about stuff that has nothing to do with them or anything else which will be annoying like repeatedly sending PMs.
  7. Threatening to / causing anyone real world harm (not just physical) will be punished harshly.
  8. Acts of sabotage like deleting topics for no reason will be punished harshly.
  9. CIT is somewhere everyone should be able to come to escape real world problems. Do not bring real world problems here. Whether through words, videos, or images, especially avatar and signature. Real world problems that this rule applies to are: conflicts, especially current conflicts, terrorism, political, cultural and religious beliefs which divide humanity.
  10. Attempting to engage in any transaction involving real-world payment or items outside of the game including the buying, selling, or trading of in-game items, services, or currency for anything other than the official in-game currency.

What happens if I get muted on the forum?

If your warning level goes above 70% then you will be forum muted which means that you will not be able to make topics, reply to topics or send private messages through the forum. The warning level will decrease by 1% every day which means that once you are below 70% you will be able to make posts and send messages again.
