Disconnected by an unknown protocol error

Client protocol errors have an official update check; they do not prove an account problem.

Steps

Try one step, then check whether the problem is still there. Follow any "only if" line before changing a setting.

1. Close MTA fully

   Exit the current game before updating its client files.

2. Install the current official release

   Get the current MTA installer from its official site and complete the installation. The official protocol-error guide says a newer client may resolve this error.

3. Reconnect and check the scope

   If the error remains, compare another trusted server and report the exact protocol message plus your installed MTA build. Do not change your account password or serial to fix a protocol mismatch.
