CD20: server resource download failed

Check the message after CD20. It tells you whether the problem is a timeout, file save or server download.

Steps

Try one step, then check whether the problem is still there. Follow any "only if" line before changing a setting.

1. Retry after removing an actual competing download

   Only when the error describes a slow transfer or timeout.

   Only for a slow-transfer or timeout message, pause large downloads you control, then reconnect when you can leave your current session. This is a connection check, not proof your internet caused it.

2. Check storage for a write failure

   Only for an explicit file-write error, not a bare download number.

   Only when the message explicitly reports writing the downloaded file failed, check free space on the drive containing the destination. Free space by reviewing your own unneeded files, then retry. A cURL write error can also have causes other than capacity.

3. Have the server repair a missing or broken download

   Only for the corresponding missing-file, malformed-URL or HTTP-server message.

   If the error says the requested file is missing, the URL is invalid, or it gives a server HTTP error, send the server’s support team the resource name and full error. A player cannot fix the server’s download URL by reinstalling GTA.

4. Compare one other trusted server if it is still unclear

   If you can join another server, note whether its resources download. Report a repeatable one-server failure to that server; take an all-server failure with its complete error to MTA Client support.

   Careful: Do not wipe all downloaded resources, bypass certificate checks, or turn off the firewall as a default repair.
