A semicolon in an MTA or GTA folder path can cause trouble.

Steps
Try one step, then check whether the problem is still there. Follow any "only if" line before changing a setting.
Check the two installation paths
Look at the MTA and GTA folders. This warning concerns a literal semicolon (;) in a folder name, not a colon in a Windows drive letter.
Choose a folder without the semicolon
Only if an installation path contains ; and MTA has a related problem.
If that warning accompanies a failure, use the relevant installer to put the affected installation in a path without a semicolon. Preserve your settings, saves and projects before changing installations.
Point MTA to the new game location
If GTA moved, select its new folder through the MTA installer. Open that installation and retry.
