Danger Level
Appearance
Danger Level
The Danger Level is a system in CIT designed to balance the Cops 'n' Robbers gameplay by considering the number of cops compared to the number of wanted criminals online. This helps mitigate the negative effects caused by team imbalances, ensuring a more balanced experience for both cops and criminals.
How the Danger Level is Calculated
- Formula: The Danger Level is calculated by dividing the number of cops (excluding AFK cops) by the number of wanted criminals online:
- copsPerWL = cops / wanted criminals.
- AFK Cops:
- AFK cops do not count in the Danger Level calculation.
Danger Level Thresholds
Based on the copsPerWL (cops per wanted criminal ratio), the Danger Level is adjusted:
>= 5 | 0.6 |
>= 4 | 0.7 |
>= 3 | 0.8 |
>= 2 | 0.9 |
>= 1 | 1 |
>= 0.9 | 1.2 |
>= 0.8 | 1.4 |
>= 0.7 | 1.6 |
>= 0.6 | 1.8 |
>= 0.5 | 2 |
>= 0.4 | 2.2 |
>= 0.3 | 2.4 |
>= 0.2 | 2.6 |
>= 0.1 | 2.8 |

Purpose of the Danger Level
- The Danger Level is used to mitigate the negative effects of team imbalance in Cops 'n' Robbers. It ensures that there isn’t an unfair advantage for either cops or criminals. The higher the Danger Level, the more cops there are compared to wanted criminals, making it harder for criminals to operate.
