Health (HP)

From CIT Wiki

Health

Health, also called HP, is the life value of your character in CIT. When your HP drops, your character becomes visibly injured, and you need to recover it through healing systems such as food healing, medics, sleeping, or automatic healing in owned bases and interiors.

Overview

HP is your main life stat.

When your HP gets low:

  • your character becomes injured
  • your movement is affected
  • you need to heal to recover back to full health

The main healing methods listed here are:

  • food-based healing
  • healing from a `Medic`
  • sleeping in your house
  • base auto-heal in an owned base or interior

Low HP effects

Low HP changes how your character looks and moves.

Injured animation

Below 60 HP:

  • your character gets an injured animation
  • your character moves slower

Below 30 HP:

  • the injured look becomes stronger

How to heal

Food-based healing

One of the main healing systems in CIT is the food system.

To heal yourself:

  • buy food
  • craft food with F9
  • use the food item

To eat food:

  • press I
  • right click the food item
  • use it

The food system heals you over time.

For every:

  • 4 health you are missing

it uses:

  • 2 food points

If `Steroids` are active:

  • the healing is doubled
  • the food use is also doubled

If your food reaches 0 or below:

  • fix it right away with food from restaurants
  • `24/7` stores
  • vending machines
  • crafted food
  • player peddlers using /sellfood

This page only covers food healing briefly.

Healing from a Medic

Another main way to recover HP is to get healed by a `Medic`.

`Paramedics`:

  • heal injured players
  • revive downed players

Healing with medics gives them:

  • heal points
  • money

Higher medic levels improve:

  • pay per heal

= How medics heal

The listed medic healing methods are:

  • healing with the first aid spray can
  • having injured players enter an ambulance

`N` is used for:

  • opening heal options

`Space` is used with:

  • the heartbeat revive prompt

Medic vehicles

The listed medic vehicles are:

  • `Ambulance`
  • `Medic Car`

Disease and virus healing

Only a `Paramedic` can heal players whose HP is rapidly dropping from:

  • a disease
  • a virus

The `Paramedic` also gets:

  • a bonus for curing it

Faster medic healing

`VIP` players:

  • heal twice as quickly from medics

The `First Aid Level 1` course also:

  • makes you heal faster as a paramedic

Medic support tools

When medics use `LSD`:

  • they can see health bars for nearby players who are not on full health

Sleeping

You can also heal by sleeping in your house.

To do that:

  • enter your house
  • use /sleep

Sleeping:

  • heals over time

Base auto-heal

Groups or squads that own a base or interior get:

  • automatic base auto-heal

This means members are healed automatically over time inside:

  • an owned base
  • an owned interior

The old health pickup system was replaced by:

  • the base auto-heal system

Related progression and roles

The healing-related roles listed here are:

To become a `Police Medic`:

  • go to the police station
  • or use /go Police Medic if unlocked

To become a `Criminal Medic`:

  • first reach Level 5 criminal
  • then use /criminal medic

HUD and health display

The HUD has settings related to health display.

You can change whether health numbers are shown by using:

  • /settings

The relevant setting is:

  • `Show Health And Armor Numbers`

If set to `No`:

  • the bars still show
  • the numbers do not

Notes

  • HP loss can trigger injured movement and injured animations.
  • Food healing is one of the main self-healing systems.
  • Medics are the main direct player-to-player healing role.
  • Sleeping is a house-only heal-over-time method.
  • Base auto-heal only applies inside an owned base or interior.
