Bounty

Bounty is a target system in CIT where `Police Chiefs` and `Criminal Bosses` can place paid bounties on opposing players.

Overview

A `Bounty` is a cash reward placed on a target.

It is used to:

  • mark a player as a bounty target
  • create a cash reward for taking that target down
  • add extra target-related messages and tracking

`Police Chiefs` and `Criminal Bosses` can place bounties on:

  • opposing players
  • gangsters

Who can place bounties

Bounties can be placed by:

  • `Police Chiefs`
  • `Criminal Bosses`

Both of them can place:

  • `2` bounties every hour

Bounty limits

A bounty can be set for up to:

  • `60` minutes

The maximum bounty reward is:

  • $300,000

What can happen to a bounty target

A bounty target can be taken down in more than one way.

Law can get the bounty reward by:

  • arresting the target

This means the bounty does not only depend on killing.

Bounty target conditions

A bounty can still be placed on players who are:

  • outside the main world
  • inside vehicles
  • glued to a vehicle

A bounty is not removed by:

  • entering a safe zone
  • leaving `LS`

Bounty interface

The bounty interface shows:

  • the amount of daily kills players have made

It also marks:

  • `Criminal Bosses` with `(CB)`
  • `Police Chiefs` with `(PC)`

Bounty messages

Bounty placement messages are always visible to the appropriate teams while the bounty is being placed.

There are also settings related to bounty messages.

In /settings:

  • `Bounty Target Messages` controls bounty target messages in chat
  • `Hit Target Messages` controls hit target messages on your screen

Important notes:

  • `Bounty Target Messages` is enabled by default
  • `Hit Target Messages` is off by default
  • if `Hit Target Messages` is disabled, bounty messages also do not show on your screen

Rewards and points

`Bounty Kill` gives:

  • `75 RP`

If you are an active bounty target, each kill you get while the bounty is active gives:

  • `75 Reputation Points`
  • or `75 Arrest Points`

This depends on your occupation.

Tracking bounty stats

Bounty stats can be checked in more than one way.

QuickStats

The bounty quick stats are:

Stat Command
`Times you were bountied` /qs bounties
`Bounties you killed` /qs bountieskilled

You can also open the full quick stats list with:

  • /qsk

Player stats

In /stats, bounty-related fields include:

  • `Times Bountied`
  • `Total Bounties Killed`

Related roles

Bounty placement is tied closely to these roles:

They are the special roles that can place bounties and manage parts of side coordination.

Notes

  • `Police Chiefs` and `Criminal Bosses` can each place `2` bounties every hour.
  • A bounty can last up to `60` minutes.
  • The maximum bounty reward is $300,000.
  • Law can claim the bounty reward by arresting the target.
