Barriers

Barriers are placeable objects used by certain duties, groups, and players in CIT.

How to place barriers

If you have barrier access:

  • use /barrier to open the CIT - Barriers panel
  • use /barrier [ID] to directly create a specific barrier
  • use /removebarrier [ID] to remove one barrier you placed
  • use /removebarrier all to remove all of your placed barriers

The barrier panel shows the barrier ID list, barrier names, a preview area, the selected barrier's Barrier ID, Barrier name, Health, Crafting speed and Crafting costs, and buttons like Craft, Destroy, and Destroy all barriers.

Barrier use has important restrictions.

Restrictions include:

  • You cannot place barriers in LS turfs
  • Everyone needs at least 500 hours of playtime to place barriers
  • Placing a barrier to block access or give a highly unfair advantage is punishable

An example of unfair use is placing a barrier at the side of an entrance to block access.

Barrier Rules

  • Use /barrier first to check which IDs you can use.
  • Barrier access is not the same for every player or group.
  • You can only have 5 placed barriers at one time.
  • LS turfing has extra barrier restrictions.
  • Barrier abuse is punishable if it blocks access or gives a highly unfair advantage.

Related commands

Damage, persistence, and placement limits

  • Barriers can be destroyed with gunfire because they are crafted from resources.
  • Civilians cannot damage barriers. Gangsters and criminals cannot damage each other's barriers.
  • You cannot place a barrier within 5 seconds of being hurt.
  • Barriers cannot be placed near interior markers or in LS turfs.
  • Barriers placed by Police Chiefs and Criminal Bosses remain when their owner dies. Every barrier is destroyed when its owner quits.
  • /barrier 20 is an armor box that players can buy armor from. Only staff, Police Chiefs, Criminal Bosses, and State Officials can craft it.
  • Barriers placed by a DL3 player, Police Chief, Criminal Boss, or official group member have 6x health and take less time to craft.
  • Every barrier is free in the Law Dimension and is not removed when its creator moves far away.
