Wanted Points track criminal activity in CIT. More Wanted Points means more police attention.

Wanted level shows as stars. Use /wl to check your wanted stars and the top 3 most wanted players.

Reducing wanted points

Ways to reduce or clear wanted points:

• use /fine if you have 30 Wanted Points or less
• stay alive and wait for stars to drop over time
• get arrested
• use /surrender to go to jail and reset wanted level when released

Police notes

• Aiming at a cop gives wanted only after more than half a second.
• Graffiti gives wanted a maximum of 3 times per 10 minutes.
• A non violent criminal needs at least 30 wanted points for kill arrest.
• Causing a disturbance gives 20 wanted points.

Opening the prison gate gives 25 Wanted Points only when the helper is below 4 stars. Helping a prisoner escape through the gate or by air gives 200 RP. Escaping from prison gives 60 Wanted Points and 30 RP.

Graffiti can only give wanted 3 times per 10 minutes.

Reducing Wanted

You can reduce or clear wanted in these ways:

• use /fine if you have 30 Wanted Points or less
• stay alive and wait for stars to drop over time
• get arrested
• use /surrender to go to jail and reset wanted level when you are released

If you want to use /payjailfine, you need cash in hand. Bank money does not work.

Police Response

Police can send wanted players to Jail by killing them or by tasing them and arresting them with the nightstick.

Police cannot arrest players inside vehicles with the nightstick.

APB

An APB starts at 1000 Wanted Points. There is no fixed limit of 3; every active APB raises the next automatic threshold by 100 Wanted Points.

• Star thresholds: 1 star 1 to 100, 2 stars 101 to 200, 3 stars 201 to 400, 4 stars 401 to 600, 5 stars 601 to 800, and 6 stars starts at 801 wanted points.
• Causing a disturbance gives 20 wanted points.

Normal wanted decay

Outside the listed paused activities, Wanted Points normally decrease by 5 per minute. They decrease twice as fast when no cops are nearby. This decay pauses during a Criminal Event or Armed Robbery.

Aiming at police and LV access

• Aiming at a cop for more than half a second gives wanted unless a hit target is nearby.
• If the cop is within 15 units, an unwanted criminal who aims at the cop is frozen briefly. This does not apply when the Van Heist is within 50 meters.
• For 5 seconds, or until the cop returns fire, that cop takes 80% damage from the criminal. This reduction does not apply when either player is within 70 meters of the Van Heist.
• Players with 4 or more wanted stars cannot enter LV to evade arrest. An APB who enters LV is removed from LV.

Surrender and criminal actions

Use /surrender while wanted to go to jail when no cops are nearby, you are not APB, and you have not been hurt during the last 10 seconds. Surrendering costs ranking points and clears the wanted level when you are released.

Shooting another player gives Felony Attempted Murder.
