Housing

Housing in CIT covers player-owned houses, house ownership limits, access control, house sales, basements, and the connection between houses and apartments.

This page focuses on the housing system itself. Apartment-specific usage, commands, and entry management are covered on the separate apartment page.

Overview

Housing in CIT mainly includes:

  • houses
  • house ownership limits
  • house locking and sales
  • basements
  • property viewing through My Properties
  • the link between houses and your apartment

CIT has:

  • over 3,000 houses across the map

You can own:

  • 2 houses by default
  • 3 houses at Donator Level 1
  • 4 houses at Donator Level 2
  • 5 houses at Donator Level 3

  • F7

The maximum number of houses you can own in total is:

  • 10

One confirmed way to reach that limit is:

  • Donator Level 3 plus 5 bought house slots

Buying a house

To buy a house:

  • find a green house icon on the map
  • or go to a Real Estate center with a large house icon
  • choose the house
  • buy it

To sell a house:

  • go to the house
  • press Z

  • click Buy This House

House access

To lock or unlock your house:

  • press Z

When a house is locked, only:

  • you
  • your CITBook friends

  • anyone can enter

Friends and marriage access

CITBook friends can enter your locked houses.

Married players can:

  • spawn at their partner's house
  • spawn at their partner's apartment

House inactivity

Houses owned by players who have not logged in for:

  • 14 days

The house GUI also shows:

  • owner activity level

That activity level:

  • drops by 1 point every hour you are inactive
  • goes up by 1 point for every minute you are online

House robbery

Criminals can rob houses in the House Robbery mission.

They cannot steal:

  • your items
  • your assets

  • buying a basement
  • using /home

Healing in a house

Use:

/sleep

in your house to heal over time.

Going to your house

Owning a house does not make it your automatic spawn.

To go there, use:

/home

House furnishing

Regular houses do not have a furniture or decoration system.

House interiors are:

  • preset

so you cannot place custom furniture in normal houses.

Basements

A basement is a permanent house upgrade.

Cost:

  • $10,000,000

Important notes:

  • it stays even if you sell the house
  • you buy it from the basement option at your house

Basements are used to grow:

Kenaf growth details:

  • full growth takes 18 hours
  • a basement has 35 plants
  • each mature plant gives 9 Kenaf
  • a full harvest gives 315 Kenaf
  • that converts into 21 Kevlar

Other notes:

  • harvesting early gives less
  • Kenaf cannot be sold or transferred

Apartments and houses

Apartments are a separate housing-related system.

For housing purposes, the important rules are:

  • you can only have 1 apartment
  • all of your houses share that same apartment
  • you do not get one apartment per house
  • you cannot sell an apartment, only your house

For apartment renting, access rules, apartment commands, and apartment travel, see the apartment page.

My Properties

Housing and related properties can be viewed through:

You can use it to:

  • view your houses
  • view other live properties
  • mark your house on the map

When you click a house in My Properties, it shows:

  • house interior
  • whether it is for sale
  • asking price
  • whether it has a basement
  • Kenaf growth percentage if it has a basement

A green house icon means:

  • the house is for sale

If a house has a basement, then:

  • Kenaf Growth 100% means the Kenaf is ready to harvest

Houses and other property systems

Houses are different from heist properties.

  • houses are residential properties bought from green house icons or Real Estate centers
  • heist properties are criminal mission bases bought from the property store GUI

Notes

  • apartments cannot be sold
  • houses cannot be sold back to the server
  • all your houses share one apartment
  • regular houses do not support custom furniture placement
  • basements remain even if the house is sold
