Notifications

Notifications in CIT are alert messages and notice settings for things such as offline SMS, friend activity, group activity, event messages, police dispatch, and other server alerts.

Overview

Notifications in CIT include:

  • offline SMS notices
  • SMS alerts
  • friend login and logout notices
  • group login notices
  • squad login notices
  • alliance login notices
  • invite notices
  • top group change notices
  • event alert messages
  • police dispatch messages
  • hourly notifications
  • partner login notices after marriage

Some notifications appear automatically, while others can be shown or hidden in /settings.

Offline SMS notifications

Offline SMS messages appear in:

  • /notifications

They are shown when:

  • you log in
  • a player sent you an SMS while you were offline

SMS and friend notifications

To manage SMS alerts and friend notifications:

  • open /settings
  • go to SMS & Friends

This section is used to control:

  • SMS alerts
  • friend login notifications
  • friend logout notifications

Group, squad, and alliance notifications

CIT also has notification settings for group-related activity.

In Group/Alliance/Squad, the listed notification settings are:

  • Group Login Messages
  • Squad Login Messages
  • Alliance Login Messages
  • Invite Messages
  • Todays Top Group Change

Marriage login notifications

After marriage, you get a login notification when:

  • your partner logs into the server

This is described as being:

  • similar to friend or group login notices

Related chat visibility

Some notifications and message types can also depend on chat visibility.

If you are missing chat messages:

  • press J
  • open the correct chat tab
  • make sure Show in chatbox is enabled

Notes

  • Offline SMS messages use /notifications.
  • Many notification types can be enabled or disabled in /settings.
  • Login notices exist for friends, groups, squads, alliances, and married partners.
  • Event messages and police dispatch messages have their own separate settings.
