Account Support

Account Support covers help entry points, account access, forum account setup, security, recovery, and staff contact tools in CIT.

Where to go first

Issue Use Notes
Normal gameplay question J > Support or /sup [question] Use this first for quick in game help.
Serious or urgent staff issue /cad <text> or J > Contact Admin Contact Admin is for serious issues, not normal chat.
Long support follow up General Support / Questions Use this when the problem needs screenshots, video, or written follow up.
Bug or glitch Quality Assurance Use a clear explanation and screenshots or video. Do not report abusable bugs in public.
Account recovery Account Retrieval Board Manual replies usually take about 3 to 4 days.

Account commands

Command Use Notes
/changeemail <old_email> <new_email> <account_password> Changes or links your email. Use none if there is no old email.
/unlinkforumaccount Unlinks your game account from the linked forum account. This is only for the linked forum account.
/cad <text> Sends a Contact Admin message from the J chat interface. Use it for serious or urgent problems.
/ask Opens AI support. Use it when you need wiki style help in game.

Support areas

Account Support is the part of CIT that helps with:

  • getting help in game
  • account access
  • forum account setup
  • password and email changes
  • login history checks
  • password recovery
  • PIN recovery
  • bug reporting
  • serious admin contact

Help entry points

If you need help in CIT, you can use:

F1 and /info open the help and rules panel.

If your question still is not answered clearly:

Forum accounts

CIT has both in game accounts and forum accounts.

Creating a forum account

Open /security > Forum, enter your in-game password to approve the request, and use Create forum account. You can also use:

/getforumaccount YourIngamePasswordHere

This creates a forum account with:

  • your in game account name
  • your in game password at the time of creation

After logging in, set your email correctly because you need to verify it with a code sent there.

Linking an existing forum account

Open /security > Forum, enter the forum username and password, and use Link forum account. To unlink it, use Unlink forum account on the same tab. The commands also work; press T and use:

/linkforumaccount ForumUsername ForumPassword

ForumUsername means your forum username, not your display name.

Forum account limits

Forum account limits are:

  • only 1 forum account can be created per computer
  • if you delete that forum account, you cannot create another one

Changing your forum password does not change your in game password.

Changing your in game password does not change your forum password.

Account limits

CIT account limits are:

  • up to 6 in game accounts
  • only 1 forum account

Account sharing is not allowed.

If your PC has already been the last device used to log into 6 accounts, you cannot log into another account from that PC.

If this locks out your main account, you can request a one time exception by listing the 6 accounts you want to keep using.

Security Center

The Security Center is used for account security features such as:

  • password changes
  • email changes
  • login history

Changing your password

To change your password, use:

/security

Then go to:

  • Password

Enter:

  • your current password
  • your new password

Changing or linking your email

To change or link your email, use:

/changeemail <old_email> <new_email> <account_password>

You can also open:

  • the Email section in the Security Center

If you do not have an old email, use:

  • none

Email case sensitivity

Emails are case sensitive in CIT for recovery purposes.

The exact capitalization matters.

Login history

To check your login history, open the Security Center and check:

  • Logins

In login history:

  • green entries are your current device
  • red entries are different serials

Password recovery

If you forgot your password, the normal recovery flow is:

  1. reconnect or use /reconnect
  2. click Forgot my password
  3. enter your email
  4. wait for the recovery code
  5. use the code to reset your password

If this works, you do not need manual recovery.

Account Retrieval Board

The Account Retrieval Board is used for manual account and PIN recovery when normal email recovery cannot be used.

It is also called:

  • ARM

Board link:

When to use it

Use the Account Retrieval Board if:

  • you forgot your password and did not set an email
  • you cannot recover your account through email
  • you forgot your PIN code

Use the required recovery format and include ownership proof. You need a forum account to post.

If you forgot your password and have neither a recovery email nor a forum account, request recovery in #ARM-Ticket on the main CIT Discord.

Replies usually take:

  • 3 to 4 days

PIN recovery

If you forgot your PIN code:

  • go to the Account Retrieval Board
  • make a new topic
  • include as much evidence as you can

Evidence can include:

  • screenshots
  • login history
  • other identifying account information

My History

To open your full account history, use:

/myhistory

Your full account history is stored locally in:

  • mods > deathmatch > priv > 53B4C5 > CITmyHistory

If that local file is deleted:

  • it cannot be recovered

Serious admin contact

If you have a serious or urgent problem, use:

/cad <text>

You can also:

  • press J
  • choose Contact Admin

That panel also has:

This is for serious or urgent problems, not normal questions.

Staff tickets

To send a ticket to staff, use:

/staffticket

Then:

  • type your question in the GUI
  • send it

Staff reply there when they can.

CITBot help

CITBot is the AI assistant for the CIT server.

It answers common CIT help questions.

To ask CITBot a question:

  • open F1
  • stay on the Help tab
  • type your question
  • press Enter or click Ask

The same F1 panel also has:

  • View Wiki
  • Clear Chat

CITBot can use context from the current chat, but it works best when each question includes enough context on its own.

Support notes

  • F1 and /info are the main help panel entry points.
  • J > Support is one of the main in game support entry points.
  • /security and /changeemail are the main account security commands.
  • /myhistory opens your full local account history.
  • The Account Retrieval Board is for manual recovery when normal email recovery is not possible.

Bug reports

Use the Quality Assurance board for reproducible bug reports.

Board link:

Do not report abusable bugs in public. Report them privately to a moderator of the Quality Assurance board; the private bug reporting topic lists active moderators and instructions.

AI support and wiki

Use /ask in game to open AI support.

You can also open F1, stay on the Help tab, type your question in the box, and press Enter or click Ask.

The same F1 panel has View Wiki to open the wiki and Clear Chat to clear the displayed messages. Clearing the display does not start a new conversation. CITBot can use up to 4 previous question-and-answer pairs from the last 15 minutes.

Check Questions Left below the chat box for your remaining daily questions: 100 below 15 playtime hours, 50 from 15 to 50 hours, and 20 above 50 hours. CITBot cannot read that counter.

The CIT Wiki main page is https://citwiki.com/index.php/Main_Page.

Extra account notes

  • Players are notified when a player complaint is made against them and on each login until they reply.
  • VPN or proxy use requires over 10 hours of account playtime. Accounts cannot be registered using a VPN.
  • There is a restriction type that only limits sending money to other players.
  • There is no daily cap on counted playtime.
  • The Account Security icon is in the X list.
  • Email recovery is available if you need to authorize a new serial for the device whitelist.
  • Use /unlinkforumaccount to unlink the game account from the linked forum account.
  • Account recovery can be done without entering an account name if the player forgot it.
  • CIT browser supported examples include cit.gg, youtube.com, and other domains allowed in browser settings; blocked or unsupported sites may not open in the in game browser.
  • Forum account registration is done in game, and the forum Register button gives details when not logged in.
  • The in-game browser asks permission to load website dependencies in Website requests. Choose Allow or Deny, and optionally Remember decision. Do not enter sensitive information on untrusted websites.

Official guide and account topics

Useful official topics:

If your PC has already been the last device used to log into 6 accounts, CIT blocks more account logins from that PC. If this locked out your main account, request a one time exception and list the 6 accounts you want to keep using.

Related commands

Command Use
/confirmemail <code> Confirms the code you get when you request to change your email.
/getforumaccount <password> Creates a forum account using your in-game password.
/linkforumaccount <username> <password> Links a forum account using the forum username and password.
/security (formerly /recentlogins) Opens the Security Center, where the Logins tab shows recent account logins. Recent Logins is also available through X then My Options.

Login lock and recovery

The login panel has Automatic Login beside Remember Username and Remember Password. When enabled, it starts a 3-second countdown that you can cancel before it logs you in.

After 10 incorrect password attempts, the account is locked for 24 hours. Use Forgot my password and email recovery if you know the account email. If the account has no recovery email, use the Account Retrieval board.

Players cannot permanently delete an in-game CIT account. Banned accounts do not appear on website statistics pages, although aggregate records can remain unchanged.

For MTA anti-cheat error 95 AC, restart MTA first. If it continues, report the exact error with a screenshot on the General Support / Questions forum board. For a vehicle reflection shader error, set Car Reflection Shader under /settings > Graphics > VISUAL EFFECTS to 999, which disables the effect. If the error continues with the effect disabled, ask for help on the General Support / Questions board.

Account deletion

An in-game account cannot be permanently deleted. Account recovery and security actions should use the verified recovery, email, forum, and /security methods on this page.

In game recovery tools

The Security Center can manage account security, including checking accounts used on the current PC. The email change flow is also available through the Security Center. Use CITBot for supported account guidance, but use Contact Admin for serious private account issues.

Device whitelist recovery

Use /security > Device Whitelist to control which MTA serials may access the account. Add one serial per line. Use Add current device for the computer you are using, or type serial in F8 on another computer and add that value.

If a new serial needs authorization and you cannot add it normally, use the linked recovery email. Account Recovery Managers can assist if the whitelist makes your account inaccessible. A blank whitelist allows any serial to log in.

Refund and email limits

  • If someone gives away an account or in game items and later loses them, they are not refunded.
  • If email recovery fails, request manual recovery through the Account Retrieval Board.

Gifts and refunds

If you give away your account or in game items and then lose them, they are not refunded.
