Prison
Prison is where wanted players are sent after they are arrested in CIT.
Overview
When a wanted player is arrested, they are sent to prison.
Their jail time depends on their wanted level.
Prison is part of the law and wanted system, and it also has its own escape options and some basic activities inside.
Location
The prison is in Los Santos.
Nearby landmarks include:
- Skate Park
- Jefferson Hospital
- LSPD area in Pershing Square
How Players End Up in Prison
Wanted players are sent to jail after being caught by the law side.
Police can do this in 2 ways:
- Kill the wanted player
- Taze the wanted player and arrest them with the nightstick
Most players kill.
Police cannot arrest players inside vehicles with the nightstick.
What Players Can Do Inside Prison
Things jailed players can do in prison include:
- Change skin
- Use CJ clothes
- Choose a walkstyle
- Switch fight styles
- Use the gambling machines
Paying a Jail Fine
Players can pay a jail fine with:
- /payjailfine
Important note:
- You need cash in hand
- Bank money does not work
Prison Escape
There are ways to escape prison.
Escaping from inside
A jailed player can escape if a helicopter is landed inside the prison yard.
Help from outside
Criminals and Gangsters can help prisoners escape from outside the prison.
To do that:
- Go to the jail near Skate Park and Jefferson Hospital.
- Enter the white marker.
- Stay there for 10 seconds.
- The gate will open.
Helping criminals escape gives 25 wanted level.
Prison Release
Prison release is a Protected Area.
Like other Protected Areas:
- Wanted players can only jog there
- Cops can still taze and arrest there
- Recently damaged wanted players stay vulnerable briefly to stop abuse
Rapid Transport markers can also be found near prison release points.
Important Notes
- Prison is where wanted players are sent after arrest.

- /payjailfine only works with cash in hand.
