Group Level

Group Levels show a group's progression in CIT. After a group receives its own board, the board age is used to gain levels and perks.

Progression notes

Group progression works in two stages:

  • Level 1 to Level 4 are promoted automatically
  • Level 5 and higher require a promotion application inside Group Profiles

Important rules:

  • group promotion can be done by any L4+ in game
  • if a group falls below 25% activity during the automatic promotion stage, it is demoted by the system
  • if a group reaches 100% punishment rate, it is demoted automatically by the script

Promotion timing

The time gaps for promotion applications are:

  • L4 to L5 = 2 months
  • L5 to L6 = 2 months
  • L6 to L7 = 3 months
  • L7 to L8 = 4 months
  • L8 to L9 = 5 months

Promotion requirements

Minimum activity to apply

Target level Criminals / Gangsters Civilian Workers Police Service
L5 110% 90% 100%
L6 120% 100% 110%
L7 130% 110% 120%
L8 140% 120% 130%
L9 150% 130% 140%

Official group levels

The current official group level list is:

  • Level 10: SAPD, SAS, KLM, AvidaCompany, HoBoS, Bikers, and BOCA
  • Level 9: 1337, Hymie, Pirus, DoMinos Family, Guard Ghosts, Sons Of Anarchy, and Detective_Service
  • Level 8: Nexus, Scary Killers, Banlieue13, BonesMC, CODEBLACK, and Virtuality
  • Level 6: TheHooligans

Other application rules

  • applications must be written manually
  • if AI is detected, the application is denied
  • if punishments are 40% or higher, the application is denied immediately
  • having more than 15 new members in the month before the application can result in denial for boosted activity
  • recently warned or demoted groups cannot request promotion until they are reconfirmed again
  • if a promotion request is rejected, the group must wait 4 weeks before requesting again
  • if an application has less than 600 words, it is highly likely to be rejected
  • once submitted, an application must not be edited unless permission is granted by GLMs

Review and demotion rules

The following review rules apply to L6 to L9 groups.

Punishment review

  • if a group receives more than 70% punishments, a warning is issued
  • if a group reaches 100% punishments, it is demoted automatically
  • after the most recent punishment, there is a 30 hour cooldown period
  • each day, the group's percentage decreases by 1% as long as no new punishments are received
  • if members leave the group to avoid punishments being counted, it is treated as punishment evading and can lead to further action

Monthly activity needed to keep the current level

Current level Criminals / Gangsters Civilian Workers Police Service
L6 100% 80% 90%
L7 110% 90% 100%
L8 120% 100% 110%
L9 130% 110% 120%

If a group does not meet these activity requirements:

  • a warning is issued
  • if the problem is not fixed by the next review, the group is demoted

Average playtime is calculated as:

  • total minutes played per day divided by total days checked

Member count review

  • having more than 20 joins within a month during a group review results in a warning

Demotion notes

  • warned groups that fail to fix their condition within a month are demoted
  • dead groups with zero activity for months are likely to be demoted
  • after a demotion, the group must wait 2 months before applying for the next level
  • to avoid receiving a warning after a demotion, the group must keep a clean GMP until the next review

Other Group Level Details

  • hybrid groups can be L10
  • if a retired group with Honorable status meets the official group requirements for a prolonged period and remains active, it is automatically promoted to official group L6
  • to edit a forum board with the correct level, contact @Brian or @Vampire
