Group Features

From CIT Wiki

Group Features

Group Features are the shared systems, tools, perks, and unlocks that a group can use in CIT. They include communication features, shared money storage, rewards, display options, group job access, radio, and level based base upgrades.

Feature notes

Group features are mainly used through:

  • F6
  • /groupsquadunit
  • /settings

Some features are available as soon as a group has access to them, while others unlock through group level progression.

Communication features

Groups have several built in communication and coordination features.

Group chat

Use:

/gc <message>

For Group Staff Chat, use:

/gsc <message>

Group Message of the Day

Use:

/gmotd <message>

This requires the right group permission.

Group note

To send a message to all online group members, use:

/groupnote <message>

Group countdown

To start a countdown for the group, use:

/groupcountd <seconds> <reason>

Your rank needs the Group Countdown permission.

To cancel it, use:

/groupcountd 0

Group ping

L6+ groups can use:

/gping <message>

Your rank needs the Ping members permission. Players can manage ping visibility in the Group Ping System setting.

Group poll

To start a group poll, use:

/gpoll <time in seconds> <question>

The duration is 15 to 1200 seconds.

Members vote with:

/gquiz

Members answer with:

/agq <answer>

The quiz panel has The QUIZ and The answer boxes with Make quiz and Stop Quiz. A new quiz cannot start while one is running; the quiz maker can see submitted answers.

Shared money and reward features

Group Bank

The Group Bank is the shared money storage for a group.

Its window opens at any group level. Depositing requires Group Level 2.

To access it:

To deposit or withdraw:

  • open F6
  • open Group Bank
  • type the amount
  • use Deposit or Withdraw

Access depends on group permissions.

Notes:

  • usually all members can deposit
  • leaders or founders usually handle withdrawals
  • the weekly receive limit still applies to group bank withdrawals
  • new accounts cannot deposit to group banks
  • the top 5 LV groups get group bank deposits

Group reward

To reward group members with money, use:

  • /groupreward
  • or F6 > Group Reward

In CIT Group member rewards, search the Member / Account name list. Choose Reward selected group member or Reward all online group members, enter Amount and Reason, then press Reward. This rewards group members only.

Members can check reward notifications with:

/notifications

Tracking and score features

Display and identity features

Group blips

Group blips are radar and map markers for group members.

They appear as:

  • a circular blip with a G

The color of a group blip depends on:

  • the player's job

Group and alliance names on F11

To show group and alliance member names on the map:

  • open /settings
  • find Enable Group/Alliance Member Names in F11
  • set it to Group and Alliance

To disable them:

  • set it to Disabled

Turf and group chat colors

Members with the matching rank permission can use:

  • /turfcolor <R G B>
  • /groupchatcolor <R G B>

LV turf color changes are limited to 2 per month. A new color does not repaint turfs already held. Use /turfcolorls R G B for LS turfs.

RGB values go from:

  • 0 to 255

Tag color

To open the tag color picker, use:

/tagcolor

To set an exact tag color, use:

/tagcolor R G B

This changes the player's name color in chats and kills. A custom tag color must first be bought from another player on F7 or earned by donating: every 200 GBP donated in total gives one.

The picker shows a live Tag color preview with RGB values and a hexadecimal code. It has R, G, B, Alpha, H, S and L boxes and nine Recently used colors: places. Click outside the window to close it. Use /tagcolor off to turn the custom color off or /tagcolor view to see your current color and changes left.

Group display settings

To change group, alliance, or squad display settings:

  • open /settings
  • open General > GROUP / ALLIANCE for group and alliance controls, or General > SQUAD for squad controls

This tab includes settings such as:

  • login messages
  • name tags
  • tag colors
  • blip style

Group Job

L6+ groups can request a custom Group Job.

If approved:

  • members with permission can use /gojob
  • or use the Group Job button in F6

At Group Level 10, civilian groups can use /gojob from base to set themselves as any job without going to the normal job spawner.

Group Radio

Your rank needs the Group Radio permission. To open the group radio panel, use:

/gradio

If a stream does not start:

  • use Plug aux first
  • if someone else is using it, ask them to Unplug aux
  • or ask a groupmate with Group Radio access to force plug or unplug the aux

Outsiders can hear a group's radio if they are:

  • inside the group's interior as a visitor

To toggle group radio off or on, use:

/mutegr

The disabled state lasts until you use /mutegr again. Alternatively, set Disable Group Custom Radio to Yes under /settings > General > GROUP / ALLIANCE. This mutes audio but leaves song-change notices visible.

Level based feature unlocks

A group gets Level 1 by obtaining a forum board. Levels 1 to 4 are automatic when /groupstats shows eligibility and activity stays above 25%; board age and required features also matter. Levels 5 to 10 require a Group Profile Board application.

Promotion rules:

  • Level 1 to Level 4 are automatic
  • Level 5 to Level 10 require an application through the Group Profile Board
Group Level Feature unlocks
Level 1 Board, protection for 1 group tag, and access to /groupstats
Level 2 Depositing through /groupbank (the window opens at any level); base, interior, or CITy base requests; Base Features Panel; base Ammunation through X; automatic healing; /addbaseped, /delbaseped, /addstaticveh, /delstaticveh. With a base, request up to 6 car shop cars except Advanced Hummer, or up to 12 vehicles for official groups, at $2,500,000 each. Civilian groups may also request 2 helicopters. An info marker logo costs $15,000,000 and requires a base with an info marker.
Level 3 /addbasespawn <spawn name> and /delbasespawn
Level 4 Request one skin shader for $30,000,000 and one custom graffiti for $20,000,000. The one graffiti limit and price also apply at L5; L6+ groups can have up to 3 graffiti free.

Level 6 Up to 3 base interiors; a free custom Group Job and /gojob; /l6speaker <link>; /l4veh in LS and SF airports. With a group job and occupation, request one vehicle for recovery without VIP for $10,000,000. Demotion below L6 removes the job; request it again after returning to L6.

Level 8 Request a unique skin model for the group job, and request planes, boats, and helicopters with a base. Civilian groups can request up to 2 helicopters earlier under L2+ base rules.

Request cost and continued access

L6+ groups without a group job can request one for free. Members need the appropriate rank permission for /gojob or F6 > Group Job; permitted leaders can assign the group job to other players. The occupation name appears in TAB and stats. Demotion below L6 removes the job, and it must be requested again after reaching L6.

Tag protection

A Level 1+ group with a board may protect one tag. A new protected tag replaces the previous one. Reply in CITLD - Group Features with the group name, board link, and tag; do not create a separate topic. There is no command to check a player's protected tag access.
