Key Bindings

Key Bindings are the default keyboard controls used for important CIT systems such as chat, phone, vehicles, jobs, groups, trading, crafting, map tools, and other main panels.

Overview

This page lists the key bindings and control-related actions that are used in CIT.

Some keys are general controls, while others only work in specific systems such as:

  • chat
  • map
  • vehicles
  • city building
  • aircraft

General controls

Key Use
X Opens the quick menu and enables the cursor to select things. It is also the bind for /click.
B Opens or closes CITPhone.
J Opens the chat interface. It is the bind for /tabchat.
U Opens local chat. It is the bind for /localchat.
F1 Opens help, documentation, updates, top lists, player statistics, and score panels. It is the bind for /info.
F2 Opens Vehicle Manager. It is the bind for /vehicles.
F3 Opens Jobs, Stats, and Opportunities. It is also used to browse ways to make money.
F4 Opens the Drugs GUI. It is the bind for /drugs.
F5 Opens the Police Computer for cops.
F6 Opens the Group, Squad, or Unit menus. It is the bind for /groupsquadunit.
F7 Opens Trading. It is the bind for /trade.
F9 Opens Crafting. It is the bind for /crafting.
F10 Opens CIT Messenger. It is the bind for /messenger. It also opens the vehicle dashboard while driving.
F11 Opens the full map.
Z Opens the house GUI when standing near something that opens it. It is the bind for.
L Turns your vehicle lights on. It is the bind for.
N Opens job options and is also the bind for.

Chat controls

Key Use
T Opens the chat input. It is used for commands such as /gps. If you type normal text after pressing T, it goes to country chat. To talk in main chat, press T and type /main followed by your message.
Y Opens team chat.
U Opens local chat.
J Opens the tabbed chat interface.

Map controls

Full map

Use:

  • F11 to open the map

The map shows your location and important markers.

Double click a destination Warp there if that destination supports warping
M Remove your current GPS waypoint

Custom destination

To place a custom destination:

  • open F11
  • click a spot in the map

Aircraft controls

Key Use
Double jump Grab onto a helicopter
Backspace Let go of a helicopter
Space Let players board your aircraft on the Shamal and Andromada

Settings-related binds

Setting Use
Enable Weapon Binds Lets you switch weapon slots with the number keys. It needs the New HUD.
Automatically shoot and aim Changes the auto-shoot and auto-aim input. Options are LMB, RMB, or Disabled.

Notes

  • T opens the chat input, not main chat directly.
  • To speak in main chat, use T then /main followed by your message.
  • X is used both for the quick menu and for enabling the cursor to select things.
  • F10 opens CIT Messenger, and it also opens the vehicle dashboard while driving.
  • Some controls only work inside specific systems such as the map, Hydra, aircraft, or CITy building.
