Rapid Transport
Rapid Transport, also known as RT, is the fast travel system in CIT. It lets players teleport between major locations by using transport markers or the /rt command when eligible.

How to use rapid transport

|---|---|---|
| Use a marker | Stand in a Rapid Transport marker and choose a destination. | The marker uses the orange loop icon on the minimap and F11. |

Click a destination once to see the fare and nearest destination marker name beside Warp, then click Warp, or double-click its icon to travel. The price is at the bottom left of the Rapid Transportation Map. Travel is free below 10 playtime hours. Otherwise the fare is floor(direct 3D distance / 0.45); house destinations add 10% for each owned house above 9. The fare does not increase with playtime.
A typical trip costs about $1,500 to $4,000. Some trips cost more than $10,000; the highest fare seen was about $21,800.
Official destinations use square icons. Green houses are your own, blue marks your group house, and orange marks shared locations such as squad, other-group, and Law Farm locations.
How Rapid Transport works
Rapid Transport is used to travel quickly between important places.
You can use it by:
- standing in a Rapid Transport marker
- using
/rtif you meet the requirement
Rapid Transport markers are shown by:
- an orange loop icon on the minimap
- an orange loop icon on
F11
These markers are found near important places such as:
- hospitals
- prison release points
- other main buildings
Use
Using a marker
To use a Rapid Transport marker:
- find a marker with the orange loop icon
- stand in it
- choose your destination
Using /rt
You can also use:
/rt
This only works if you are:
Donator Level 2or higher- a new player under
15hours of playtime
To bind it to a key, use /bind <key> rt, without a slash before rt. A bind does not change access requirements.
Restrictions
Rapid Transport cannot be used when:
- you are wanted
- you are dead, in a vehicle, or in a dimension that blocks the action
- you are a Gangster or GIU officer turfing, or within
30seconds after turfing
Hit targets cannot use Rapid Transport markers. Donator Level 2 access does not bypass wanted status or job restrictions.
There are also these destination restrictions:
- criminals cannot teleport to
SF - Police DepartmentorLS - Police Department, and law cannot teleport toLS - Criminal Villa
Rapid Transport during jobs
Most Civilian jobs allow Rapid Transport, but it can cancel the mission, remove cargo or passengers, or block work for a short time. News Reporter cannot use it at all, including through /rt.
The jobs with Rapid Transport restrictions are listed in the job restriction tables below.
Escaping with Rapid Transport
Using Rapid Transport to escape an in game situation is not punishable by itself.
This includes:
/rt- similar travel systems
If something about it can be abused to escape unfairly:
- report it as a bug

15hours can also use/rtdirectly. - Criminals cannot teleport to
SF - Police DepartmentorLS - Police Department; law cannot teleport toLS - Criminal Villa. - Gangsters and GIU officers cannot use Rapid Transport while turfing or for

/rtwhile working. The jobs with Rapid Transport restrictions are listed in the job restriction tables below.
CITmap Counts
These counts come from the CITmap data. Use them as quick count summaries only. Some CITmap icons are custom.
Other means counties, small towns, airports, sea points, or non city areas as labelled in CITmap.

Location notes
- There is a Rapid Transport marker at
SFPD. - Law Farm can be reached through Rapid Transport, GPS, or normal driving.
- Civilian job Rapid Transport is not available for every civilian job, and
News Reportercannot use Rapid Transport.
GPS category
Rapid Transport destinations are grouped under the Rapid Transportation category in /gps.
Use that category when you want to find the nearest or most useful rapid transport route from the GPS list.
Job restrictions
Most civilian jobs allow teleporting, but active missions can be cancelled, cargo or passengers can be removed, and some jobs block work briefly after teleporting. News Reporter cannot use Rapid Transport or /rt while working.
| Job | Rapid Transport behavior |
|---|---|
| Bus Driver | Cancels an active route. |
| Delivery Man | Starts the vehicle-abandonment check. Parcels are taken back after 10 seconds away.
|
| Electrician | Allows teleporting, but work cannot start for 1 minute.
|
| Firefighter | Cancels an active Fire Truck mission. |
| Fuel Transporter | Wait 1 minute before starting. Leaving, teleporting, and recovering the truck stops the job. Re-enter the truck to start again.
|
| Mechanic | The broken-vehicle repair mission cannot start or pay for 1 minute. The Towtruck scrapper mission is not blocked.
|
| News Reporter | Rapid Transport and /rt are completely blocked while working.
|
| Paper Boy | Ends the active paper route. |
| Pilot | No Pilot mission can start for 2 minutes. Being outside the aircraft for 60 seconds also ends the job.
|
| Pizza Boy | The scooter cannot be loaded for 2 minutes.
|
| Taxi Driver | A ped fare cannot start for 1 minute. Teleporting and recovering the taxi during a fare resets the mission and removes the passenger.
|
| Train Driver | Moving too far away abandons the train mission. Leaving the train gives 10 seconds to return.
|
| Trucker | Moving too far away abandons the vehicle and loses the cargo or mission. |
| Gang Intervention Unit | Blocked while turfing and for 30 seconds after turfing.
|
Other tested civilian jobs have no job-specific Rapid Transport restriction. Wanted players cannot use Rapid Transport.
Job restriction matrix
