Community Ranks
Community ranks grant users access to specific features and benefits in the CIT community. There are various ranks, each offering different perks, such as the ability to post in certain boards, increase your private message limit, and apply for higher staff positions. These ranks are divided into different levels, and you must meet the specific criteria to achieve each rank.
1. Ranks and Perks
New Community Member (NCM)
Perks:
- Able to view the Group Profiles board (cannot reply or post).
- Color: Light Green.
- Square count: 1 green square.
Junior Community Member (JCM)
Perks:
- Able to edit own posts (not available on all boards).
- Can mention users in posts.
- Can use the "Notify" button in topics.
- Private message limit increased to 200 messages.
- View Administrative Profiles board.
- Can post in the Group Profiles board.
- Square count: 2 green squares.
Regular Community Member (RCM)
Perks:
- All perks of JCM.
- Can apply for L1 Staff / PAM in the Administrative Profiles board.
- Private message limit increased to 300 messages.
- Square count: 3 green squares.
Senior Community Member (SCM)
Perks:
- All perks of RCM.
- Private message limit increased to 400 messages.
- Square count: 4 green squares.
2. How to Achieve a Community Rank
There are several ways to achieve a community rank:
By Total Posts: (Method 1)
- NCM: Must have at least 10 posts.
- JCM: Must have more than 150 posts in major boards and registered for over 2 months.
- RCM: Must have over 300 posts, been a JCM for at least 2 months, and registered over 2 months ago.
- SCM: Must have more than 450 posts, been an RCM for at least 3 months.
By Recent Posts: (Method 2)
- JCM: At least 35 posts in major boards in the last month, with 30% having decent quality.
- RCM: At least 50 posts with 60% having decent quality.
- SCM: At least 60 posts with 80% having decent quality.
By Being a Duty Holder (Applies to JCM and higher): (Method 3)
- You can gain ranks through official recognized community duties like Guider, Translator, or Event Manager. The more time you spend in these roles, the higher your rank can be.
- JCM: Served 2 months with an officially recognized community duty (excluding inactivity periods, list can be found below).
- RCM: Served 1 year with an officially recognized community duty (excluding inactivity periods, list can be found below).
- SCM:
- Served 2 years with an officially recognized community duty (excluding inactivity periods).
- Served at least 2 months as a NAS/L2+ Staff/ICM.
3. Community Rank Application
To Apply for a Rank:
NCM: Requests can be made here.
For JCM+: Create a new topic with the following format:
Subject: "xCM Request - YourName" (Example: SCM Request - Ptole)
Content:

4. Recognized duties
Official recognized community duties list
- Guider
- Translator
- Community Developer
- Punishment Appeal Manager
- Group Level Manager
- Event Manager
- CITRadio DJ
- CITNews Publisher
- Police Chief
- Criminal Boss
- State Official
- Quality Assurance Tester
Major boards list:
- Discussion (Only if you're helping.)
- News and Updates (Only if you're helping.)
- Backlogged (Only if you're helping.)
- Quality Assurance (Only if you're helping/reporting bugs.)
- Support Boards (Only if you're helping.)
- Tutorials and Guides (Only if you're helping.)
- Contribute (Only if you're helping.)
Your posts will count only if it's meaningful and contributing to the server in any possible way, don't expect us to count silly posts or posts that don't contribute to the server.
5. Rules and Requirements
Requirements for Application:
- No recent punishments.
- Must have no punishments during the last month when requesting JCM.
- Must have no punishments during the last 45 days when requesting RCM.
- Must have no punishments during the last 2 months when requesting SCM.
- No behavioral issues.
- Your last community rank request was at least 14 days ago.
- Try to post constructive or useful replies/posts, engage in discussions etc. We value a few useful posts like those over many useless posts.
- If not even Google Translate can understand your English, then you should improve it first before applying. Your English MUST be understandable on a minimally coherent level.
- If you power-post before you apply (spamming the forum to appear active), you may be denied for inconsistency and appearing ingenuine.
- Do not copy your application or just copy it and change some words, if you do so you will be denied for lack of effort and being lazy. A warning may follow for useless post.
- You cannot discuss or argue denied applications, simply improve the points mentioned by FMM's.
- FMM / L4+ Staff must state why they reject your request.
- From 16-10-19 and now on FMMs won't recover any forum rank if you lost it because of you voluntarily deleting your forum account.
- You cannot apply for a community rank while being fully muted in-game, if you do so, you will be instantly denied.
- You cannot skip ranks after getting your community rank removed.
- If you had your forum rank removed, you cannot use the contributions from before this occurrence for your new request. (Instated on the 30th of October 2022)
- Applying for a community rank while having more than 5% warning level will result in an immediate denial. (Instated on the 12th of April 2024)
- When applying using method 3, make sure to mention all the duties you served in. Any duty that's not mentioned by the applicant won't be taken into consideration. (Instated on the 20th of August 2024)
6. Losing a Community Rank
Ways to be demoted by rank:
- Stupid behavior or not using intelligence.
- Be warned for lying, insulting or trolling or any other offense which is not trivial or minor.
Ways to be instantly stripped of your community rank completely: (at L4+ discretion)
- Ungrateful attitude.
- Non-specific serious offense.
- Any decision deemed appropriate by L4+ (serious)
Ways to be blacklisted from applying for a rank:
- Lie (serious) in the application.
- Muted many times.
- Warned many times.
- Behavior/temper problems.
- Prone to drama, causing trouble, bad example.
- Had community rank removed before.
7. Honorable Rank
This rank is rare and is awarded to users who have shown exceptional contribution. You cannot apply for this rank, but it can be granted based on your achievements or contributions. Examples include users who have served as staff or made significant contributions to the community.
