New Player Features
New Player Features are the starter benefits, temporary bonuses, labels, and onboarding tools that new players get when they join CIT.
Overview
When a new player joins CIT, they receive:
- starter cash
- starter bank money
- starter drugs
- free starter vehicles at white markers
- temporary `VIP` benefits
- temporary `Rapid Transport` access
- a visible hours-played label above their head
- on-screen help messages
- tutorial access
- automatic access to `Help your country`
Starter rewards
New players start with:
$150,000cash$5,000in the bank15hits of each drug
New `Civilian` players also get:
- an extra
$50,000
This means a new `Civilian` player starts with:
$200,000cash
Free starter vehicles
New players get:
- free
$5,000vehicles at white markers
Temporary VIP benefits
New players keep:
- `VIP` benefits until they reach
10hours of playtime
Temporary Rapid Transport access
New players can use:
/rtwhile they are under15hours of playtime
New player hours label
New players show an hours-played label above their head.
This appears as:
1Hto15H
These labels are used for new players.
On-screen help messages
New players get:
- on-screen help messages
These are tips for new players, such as telling you to press J to open chat.
They can be turned off in:
/settings
Tutorial
New players have access to the tutorial.
It can be skipped by pressing:
Backspace
Video tutorials are also available in:
F3Opportunities- the Employment Office markers
- the `LS` mall markers
Help your country
New accounts automatically join:
- their country's squad
This is used by the `Help your country` system.
`Help your country` is a special tab in:
F6
It is meant to help new players, and it is where players can help newcomers from their country with useful information.
To join it manually, use:
F6- open `Help your country`
- click `Join Now`
New player onboarding tools
New players are directed toward the main starter tools and travel systems.
Employment Office
When new players use:
/jobs
They are sent to:
- `SF - Employment Office`

Starting sides
New players can start learning the four sides right away.
The four sides are:
To switch sides:

/criminalfor `Criminal` - use
/gangsterorX > Go Gangsterfor `Gangster` - use
/lspdor the `LSPD` / `SFPD` marker for `Police`
Suggested starting path
A recommended starting path for new players is:
- start with `Trucker` or `Farmer`
- then try `Miner` or `Taxi Driver`
- after that, try jobs like `Bus Driver`, `Pizza Boy`, `Mechanic`, or `Pilot`
- move to `Police` when comfortable
- try `Criminal` or `Gangster` later
Notes
- The `1H` to `15H` label is a new-player label.
- `VIP` benefits last until `10` hours of playtime.
- `/rt` access lasts while the player is under `15` hours of playtime.
- On-screen help messages can be disabled in
/settings. - New accounts automatically join their country's squad for `Help your country`.
