Help entry points

If you need help in CIT, you can use:

F1 and /info open the help and rules panel.

If your question still is not answered clearly:

Forum accounts

CIT has both in game accounts and forum accounts.

Creating a forum account

To create a forum account, use:

/getforumaccount YourIngamePasswordHere

This creates a forum account with:

  • your in game account name
  • your in game password at the time of creation

After logging in, set your email correctly because you need to verify it with a code sent there.

Linking an existing forum account

To link an existing forum account, press T and use:

/linkforumaccount ForumUsername ForumPassword

ForumUsername means your forum username, not your display name.

Forum account limits

Forum account limits are:

  • only 1 forum account can be created per computer
  • if you delete that forum account, you cannot create another one

Changing your forum password does not change your in game password.

Changing your in game password does not change your forum password.

Account limits

CIT account limits are:

  • up to 6 in game accounts
  • only 1 forum account

Account sharing is not allowed.

If your PC has already been the last device used to log into 6 accounts, you cannot log into another account from that PC.

If this locks out your main account, you can request a one time exception by listing the 6 accounts you want to keep using.

Security Center

The Security Center is used for account security features such as:

  • password changes
  • email changes
  • login history

Changing your password

To change your password, use:

/security

Then go to:

  • Password

Enter:

  • your current password
  • your new password

Changing or linking your email

To change or link your email, use:

/changeemail <old_email> <new_email> <account_password>

You can also open:

  • the Email section in the Security Center

If you do not have an old email, use:

  • none

Email case sensitivity

Emails are case sensitive in CIT for recovery purposes.

The exact capitalization matters.

Login history

To check your login history, open the Security Center and check:

  • Logins

In login history:

  • green entries are your current device
  • red entries are different serials

Password recovery

If you forgot your password, the normal recovery flow is:

  1. reconnect or use /reconnect
  2. click Forgot my password
  3. enter your email
  4. wait for the recovery code
  5. use the code to reset your password

If this works, you do not need manual recovery.

Account Retrieval Board

The Account Retrieval Board is used for manual account and PIN recovery when normal email recovery cannot be used.

It is also called:

  • ARM

Board link:

When to use it

Use the Account Retrieval Board if:

  • you forgot your password and did not set an email
  • you cannot recover your account through email
  • you forgot your PIN code

Replies usually take:

  • 3 to 4 days

PIN recovery

If you forgot your PIN code:

  • go to the Account Retrieval Board
  • make a new topic
  • include as much evidence as you can

Evidence can include:

  • login history
  • other identifying account information

My History

To open your full account history, use:

Your full account history is stored locally in:

  • mods > deathmatch > priv > 53B4C5 > CITmyHistory

If that local file is deleted:

  • it cannot be recovered

Serious admin contact

If you have a serious or urgent problem, use:

/cad <text>

You can also:

  • press J

That panel also has:

  • press Enter or click Ask

The same F1 panel also has:

CITBot can use context from the current chat, but it works best when each question includes enough context on its own.

Support notes

  • J > Support is one of the main in game support entry points.
  • /security and /changeemail are the main account security commands.
