CL22: MTA could not start GTA:SA

Check whether GTA itself opens before changing permissions.

Steps

Try one step, then check whether the problem is still there. Follow any "only if" line before changing a setting.

1. Restart and open GTA directly

   After a restart, run GTA single player from the installation selected by MTA. If GTA itself will not open, use the GTA launch/settings or missing-game-file guide first.

2. Test elevation only for an access-denied error

   Only for an explicit access-denied error on a PC you manage.

   Only if the accompanying Windows error explicitly says access is denied, and this is your own PC, try one launch of the trusted official MTA launcher with Run as administrator.

   Careful: Do not make every game permanently run as administrator.

3. Review an actual security-product block

   Only if a security notification identifies the blocked file.

   Only if your security product reports blocking the named official executable, check its vendor’s false-positive or narrow-exception instructions. Otherwise keep protection unchanged and give MTA support the Windows error number.

   Careful: Do not allow an unknown file or disable antivirus protection.
