MTA installer says the download is incorrect

Replace the failed installer download from the official source.

Steps

Try one step, then check whether the problem is still there. Follow any "only if" line before changing a setting.

1. Update your existing antivirus and run a scan

   The official guide recommends a scan for this specific failed-download condition. Use your existing security product; the message alone does not prove an infection.

2. Get a fresh official MTA installer

   Download the current installer from MTA’s official site and use that complete download instead of the failed copy.

3. Retry and keep the installer error if it returns

   If the fresh installer still fails, give MTA support its exact message. If the failure happens while downloading server resources after joining, use the separate CD20 guide.
