MTA:SA fix
MTA warns that it could not detect an anti-virus
This is a warning, not a block. MTA says an anti-virus is not needed to run it, but strongly recommends having one that is running and up to date.
Warning: Could not detect anti-virus product
Steps
Try one step, then check whether the problem is still there. Follow any "only if" line before changing a setting.
Check that your anti-virus is running
Make sure an anti-virus program is installed and switched on. MTA's page lists free ones if you have none.
Update it and run a full scan
MTA's page says to update the anti-virus, check that real-time scanning is on, and run a complete scan. Then start MTA again.
On a Mac this warning is expected
Only when running MTA on a Mac.
MTA's wiki says MTA cannot detect Mac anti-virus programs. Tick the box that you will not install an anti-virus and press OK.
Still stuck? The Fix tool reads MTA's own log on your computer and points at the matching steps. Nothing is uploaded.
