Settings

CIT Settings is the main server specific settings menu in CIT. Players use it to change HUD options, graphics, audio, gameplay helpers, alerts, binds, radar behavior, group related display settings, and many other CIT specific features.

CIT settings menu.
CIT settings menu.

To open it, use:

/settings

Find and change a setting

Search covers all tabs, including Graphics, Audio, and Interface. Searching a category shows that category and labels each result.

  • /settings your equipment opens the menu at Your Equipment.
  • /search your equipment searches an already open settings window; it cannot open the window itself.
  • Use a full setting name and a valid option to change it directly: /settings fxaa shader low or /settings maximum fps 70.

Settings routes

Use these links when you need a specific settings area.

Need Page Use it for
CIT server settings Settings /settings, alerts, HUD, radar, gameplay helpers, and CIT options

Fast settings to know

Setting or area Use Notes
Open settings /settings Use the search box to search by setting name or category name.
Binds tab /sbinds Opens the Binds tab directly.
Drug Info Display /settings Drug effects can show as images or text.

SMS and friends /settings Controls SMS alerts and friend login or logout notifications.

Main settings areas

Use the General, Graphics, Audio, Interface, and Binds tabs. Search by setting or category name. The selected setting explains its controls and current value.

How to open and use CIT settings

To open the settings menu, use:

/settings

To open the Binds tab directly, use:

/sbinds

You can use the search box to find a setting by:

  • setting name
  • category name

If you search for a category, the results can show the whole category and the settings inside it.

A setting value shown in light blue has been changed from its default. Unchanged values use normal white text.

CIT Settings vs MTA settings

CIT has its own settings menu, but standard MTA settings are still available through:

ESC > Settings

Use ESC > Settings for standard MTA client options like:

  • Multiplayer
  • Binds
  • Controls
  • Interface
  • Web Browser
  • Advanced

Use /settings for server specific CIT features and gameplay options.

Binds and key settings

The Binds tab in /settings is used for CIT script binds.

It includes grouped sections such as:

  • Weapon Binds
  • Respawn Binds
  • Function Keys
  • Vehicle Binds
  • General Binds
  • Interaction Binds
  • Job / Activity Binds

Each row shows:

  • the bind name
  • the current key in the Value column

You can double click a bind to set a new key.

Bind editing details:

  • double click with LMB to set Key 1
  • double click with RMB to set Key 2
  • the menu shows Key 2 when an alternative key is set
  • if the primary and secondary bind are the same, they fall back to Key 1

Sprint cannot be bound to the same key as aim or fire. Using that bind disables your controls.

The CIT binds menu also supports:

Notify me of New Players helps groups find genuinely new players for the recruiting reward. It also notifies you when a new player with the same country code joins. If the message says accounts on this PC: 1, the reward is available for that player.

If you accidentally unbind an important CIT script key, reconnecting resets your binds to default. You can also fix binds manually in:

ESC > Settings > Binds

Standard movement and base MTA controls should still be changed in:

ESC > Settings > Binds
