Vehicles

Vehicles in CIT covers buying, owning, recovering, repairing, refuelling, locking, gluing, and upgrading vehicles.

Most vehicle management uses:

Quick vehicle tools

Command or key Use Notes
F2 or /vehicles Open Vehicle Manager Recover, hide, sell, lock, unlock, blip, pick, and organize owned vehicles.
/pick ID Pick a vehicle by F2 number ID is the number shown in the F2 vehicle list.
/recover Recover selected vehicle If no vehicle is selected, it selects the top vehicle in F2 and recovers it.
/cruise <KPH> Set cruise control speed The bind can be changed in MTA settings under CITcruise.
/maxspeed <number> Limit vehicle speed Works on cars, motorbikes, and quadbikes.
L Toggle vehicle lights Vehicle lights are not controlled with /lights.

Vehicle rules players check often

Fact Current behavior
New vehicles Newly purchased vehicles start locked, like /lock was used.
Fuel Fuel does not run down while stationary or moving under 5 KPH. Voltic is electric and independent from the fuel system.
Recovery near AR Vehicle recovery is blocked within 40 units of an Armed Robbery.
Large vehicles Cops, criminals, and gangsters cannot recover Bus, Coach, Trashmaster, or Fire Truck.
Bullet resistance Vehicles with 10 / 10 Bullet Resistance are immune to stinger traps. Raindance and DFT-30 are 70% bullet resistant.
Undercover Police Undercover Police costs $150,000, has 161 km/h top speed, and everyone can use it, but undercover features apply to cops only.

All players can use visible white vehicle markers to get vehicles that cost $5,000. Many jobs also have free vehicle spawners.

Ownership and selling

Vehicles sell back to the server only, with a 20% deduction from the original buy price.

Vehicle decay per spawn is 0.0001 of the vehicle value, with a minimum of $100 and a maximum of $1,000 per spawn.

Recovery details

Wanted players can hide a vehicle that is being recovered to them during the 10 second wait.

Military and Rebel recovery without VIP is historical because Military and Rebel are disabled.

Special vehicles

Vehicle Main facts
Advanced Hummer Costs $70,000,000, top speed 168 km/h, bullet resistant, heals 5% HP every 6 seconds, flips itself upright, uses no fuel, and has Unarmed, Uzi armed, and M4 armed versions.
Hydra Costs $50,000,000, top speed 138 km/h, repairs 7% HP every 5 seconds while not moving, and each missile costs $2,000. Missiles are free in the Law Dimension.
Rhino Costs $90,000,000, top speed 33 km/h, and is mainly a fun vehicle.

Use Vehicle Stats when you need the full stat table, exact max speed values, acceleration values, mass values, traction values, and ranking tables.

Extra vehicle notes

  • The MPCC shows on screen text for why it will not accept teleports.
  • The vehicle GUI shows auto despawn information.
  • MPCC shows on screen text explaining why it cannot accept teleports.
  • Everyone can use the Undercover Police vehicle, but undercover features apply to cops only.
  • An unwanted driver gets a chance to accept wanted level before ejecting a wanted passenger.
  • Vehicles are not auto hidden on arrest or jail if someone is in or on them.
  • Ask to Hide auto hides a vehicle if the player is idle for 60 seconds or more, except outside the main world.
  • Rustler air bomb timing is 15 seconds slower below danger level 1 and 15 seconds faster above danger level 2.
  • Stafford has the same glue limit as Hummer near Armed Robberies.
  • Vehicles with 10 / 10 Bullet Resistance are immune to stinger traps.
  • Rustler bombs are free in law and event dimensions, have reduced cooldown there, and use Left Shift.
  • Vehicle recovery is blocked within 40 units of an Armed Robbery.

  • Broken down vehicles can be hidden even if they are moving.
  • Cop only armor vehicle coverage for police cars, MPCC Truck, and Shelby.
  • Criminal only armor vehicle coverage for Huntley.
  • Vehicle armor buying fails if the player took damage in the last 3 seconds, and cops cannot buy armor from vehicles in LV.
  • All players can glue to the MPCC Truck.
  • MPCC spawn is not accessible if the owner has not moved in 120 seconds.
  • Spawning at an MPCC Truck disables collisions with the truck until exiting it.
  • Wanted player or prisoner vehicle recovery is visible to everyone, shows a half transparent vehicle, and spawns after 10 seconds.
  • Damage taken inside a broken down vehicle is reduced by 50%.
  • Car tuning gives 4% speed boost per level and 3% acceleration boost per level.
  • Vehicle passengers and attached players can buy food from drive through food stores.
  • Criminals and Gangsters can crash into a vehicle driven by a hit target.
  • Trying to enter a locked vehicle shows a message above the player as a reminder to the owner.
  • Recovering and driving vehicles except motorbikes is disabled inside open interiors and places vehicles outside buildings.
  • All player armor vehicle coverage for Advanced Hummer, Stafford, Patriot, Burrito, Hydra, and Rhino.
  • Players can recover vehicles in allied bases without VIP.
  • Static vehicles are non colliding.
  • Entering a static vehicle creates a clone and the original disappears for a while.
  • Players can enter static cars and bikes.

  • /engine turns off a vehicle or aircraft engine, and using /engine again turns it back on.
  • Repaired vehicles do not collide with other vehicles for 15 seconds unless the driver is wanted.

  • Press X, click your own vehicle, then choose Ask to Hide.

  • Bombs and tear gas cost $2,000 each.
  • Level 7 group Vehicle Tazer reduces a wanted driver's vehicle max speed for 20 seconds instead of removing controls.
  • Tram and passenger train carriages are enterable so players can glue to them.
  • Recovered trains are sent to the correct track.
  • A Repair Kit repairs 33%.
  • The repair shows how many Repair Kits are left.
  • To press W forward to cancel the repair.
  • A cancelled repair does not consume the Repair Kit.
  • The drone payment lookup only that drones need to be paid for once.
  • To enter a Topfun Van to drive drones.
  • The radio volume save lookup only says car radio volume is saved.
  • Players glued to the vehicle can hear the car radio.
  • Car radio volume saving and glued players hearing car radio.
  • Repair Kit vehicle use it repairs 33%, shows kits left, can be cancelled with W, and cancelled repair does not consume the kit.
  • /pick ID lookup for selecting a vehicle by the number shown in F2.
  • Aircraft refuelling at airport gas stations and any gas station where the aircraft can land.
  • Merged police car armor into the role based vehicle armor section for cops.
  • Aiming at a vehicle shows vehicle health information.
  • Vehicle hide speed rule: outside LV vehicles cannot be hidden while moving fast, while in LV vehicles can be hidden instantly.
  • /cruise <KPH> cruise control lookup and CITcruise bind note.
  • Merged Advanced Hummer armor into the role based vehicle armor section for all players.
  • Drone payment note that drones only need to be paid once and Topfun Van is used to drive drones.
  • Newly purchased vehicles start locked like /lock was used.
