Events

Events in CIT are activities that run either automatically, on a timer, through staff or player hosts, or as part of seasonal content. Some are open combat events, some are civilian-only, and some are short public minigames.

Overview

The main event types in CIT are:

Some event systems are public and always rotating, while others depend on hosts, announcements, or limited-time seasonal content.

Public combat and robbery events

Criminal Events

Criminal Events, also called CEs, are public events where criminals and police fight over an objective such as a robbery, raid, or special scenario.

Key points:

  • unlimited players can join
  • they rotate through different locations
  • use /ce to check the current event and timer
  • they run on a regular timer cycle all day

`Van Heist` is part of the `CE` cycle and happens every 4th `CE`.

Armed Robberies

Armed Robberies, also called ARs, are outdoor robberies at fixed spots.

Key points:

  • they start by aiming at the robbery ped
  • use /arl, /gps, or the red money bag on F11 to find them
  • use /arl update to pin live robbery info on your screen

`ARs` are different from `CEs`.

Hosted event systems

Community Events

Community Events are hosted by Community Event Managers, also called CEMs.

The documented `CEM` event types are:

  • `FFA`
  • `Race`
  • `HnS`
  • `CDF`
  • `Carbomb`

Key points:

  • they are announced in main chat
  • use /eventwarp after a `CEM` or staff member calls the event
  • use /requestevent to open the event request GUI
  • they take place in `Dimension 336`
  • they have uncapped rewards

State Official Events are civilian-only events hosted by State Officials.

The documented `State Official` event types are:

  • `Delivery Clothes`
  • `Delivery Glasses`
  • `Delivery Jewellery`
  • `Delivery Fish`
  • `Delivery Plane`
  • `Delivery Newspaper`
  • `Mystery Box`
  • `Job Competition`
  • `Quiz`
  • `SO Chase`

Key points:

  • watch the announcement first
  • use /soevent info to check the event type, destination, required vehicle, and restrictions
  • some events use /participate

Battle Royale

Battle Royale is a queue-based event system.

Key points:

  • use /br to sign up
  • use /br again to cancel registration
  • use /team to manage a team for `Battle Royale`

Typing Challenge

Typing Challenge is a typing-speed minigame.

Key points:

  • use /typing to open it
  • it rewards correct words typed within the time limit
  • it has its own `Top 50 Typists` tab

Maths Trivia

Maths Trivia is an automated event that appears every `10` minutes.

Key points:

  • answer with /mt [answer]
  • the reward is $5000
  • its messages can be disabled in /settings

Mystery Bag

Mystery Bag is a random public event item that appears outside `Las Venturas`.

Key points:

  • it appears with a ? blip
  • press 1 to open it for a possible reward or explosion
  • press 2 to sell it for guaranteed money
  • bag color shows rarity

Challenge-based event systems

Daily Challenges

Daily Challenges are daily event-style tasks that reset every day.

The documented categories are:

  • `Mafia Wars`
  • `Criminal`
  • `Civilian`
  • `Miscellaneous`

Key points:

  • use /challenges or press X and click yourself
  • each category can be completed once before the next daily reset
  • all categories can be completed in the same day
  • you have `24` hours to finish a challenge after opening it

Notes

  • Different event systems use different join methods.
  • Some events are automatic, some are timer-based, and some depend on hosts.
  • Event rewards depend on the event and can include money, XP, drugs, items, tokens, emojis, skins, resources, and host-set prizes.
  • New players can join several event systems when available, including `Criminal Events`, `Battle Royale`, `Typing Challenge`, `CEM` events, `Daily Challenges`, `Van Heist`, and races.
