Earning Money

Earning Money in CIT can be done through civilian jobs, law work, criminal activity, gangster activity, trading, crafting, challenges, events, and some property-based methods.

Earn limit

The base earn limit is:

  • $450,000 per hour

After reaching the earn limit, uncapped reward events include:

  • `FFA`
  • `Race`
  • `HnS`
  • `CDF`
  • `Carbomb`

Civilian jobs

Civilian jobs are one of the main ways to make money.

Job How it pays Main details
Trucker Cash or selected reward Haul cargo long distance. Rewards can include hemp, herbs, explosives, meat, wheat, engine parts, chemicals, and money.
Bus Driver Cash Run passenger routes in `LS` and `SF`. You are paid after every 5th stop.
Train Driver Cash or resources Transport passengers with `Tram` or `Streak`, or move resources with `Freight`.
Taxi Driver Cash Pick up passengers and deliver them. VIP clients pay extra if delivered quickly.
Pizza Boy Cash Deliver pizzas to marked houses with a `Pizzaboy` scooter or `Pizza Tug`.
Paper Boy Cash Ride a bicycle and deliver newspapers to houses.
Delivery Man Cash Load parcels and deliver them to houses. Fast and correct deliveries can give bonuses.
Pilot Cash or resources Passenger, cargo, vehicle, utility, stunt, and firefighting missions depending on aircraft type.
Firefighter Cash Extinguish fires, rescue pedestrians, and do the `Fire Truck` side mission.
Paramedic Cash Heal injured players and revive downed players to earn money and heal points.
Mechanic Cash, Iron, or Engine Parts Repair vehicles, paint vehicles, and do scrapper work.
Iron Miner Iron Mine iron and sell it on `F7` or use it for crafting.
Cave Miner Iron, oil, chemicals, ore, sulfur, explosives, and extra pay Blast cave rocks, drain water for extra pay, and take resources to the drop-off.
LS Miner Iron Ore, Explosives Ore, Gold Ore, Chemicals Mine rocks in East Los Santos.
Space Miner Iron, gold, oil, chemicals, ore, and other materials Extract resources in space using the shared mining level system.
Farmer Cash or resources `Sunflowers` pay cash directly. `Herbs`, `Hemp`, `Wheat`, and `Pumpkins` pay as resources.
Fisherman Fish Catch fish from land or from a `Reefer` boat, then sell them.
Hunter Meat Track deer, kill them, and collect meat.
Lumberjack Cash Cut trees with a chainsaw. You earn money for every tree cut.
Waste Manager Money, Electronics, or Chemicals Collect garbage with a `Trashmaster`. Payment type can be changed.
Electrician Cash Complete electrician tasks around San Andreas.
Street Cleaner Cash plus random materials Clean garbage with a `Sweeper`, remove graffiti, or use the mower side mission. Also gives random `Electronics`, `Chemicals`, or `Iron`.
City Engineer Cash Complete construction, repair, and utility tasks with `/tasks`.
Crane Operator Cash Load and unload containers at Easter Basin Harbor.
Butcher Meat Cut and process meat in San Fierro.
Street Food Seller Cash Cook meals from wheat and sell food to players with /sellfood.
Ice Cream Man Cash Drive a `Mr. Whoopee` to residential zones and complete customer orders.
News Reporter Cash Take photos of marked players and do reporter work.
Software Developer Cash Fix broken or corrupted scripts with /developer.
Fuel Transporter Cash or mixed reward Load Oil, Chemicals, or Nitrous at refineries and deliver them to stations.

Civilian jobs that mainly pay in tradable resources

Some jobs mostly pay in resources instead of direct cash.

These can be:

Law income

Law players can make money through law-side work.

Method How it pays
Arrests Arrest pay depends on the target's wanted level.
APB captures Cops make money from `APB` captures.
Armed Robberies and Criminal Events Cops make money for joining `ARs` and `CEs`.
Speeding fines `Traffic Officer` can fine speeding drivers.
Police Medic side mission `Police Medic` can do the revive side mission used by medics.

Criminal income

Criminals mainly make money through robberies, missions, drugs, and criminal events.

Pickpocket Criminal reward Pickpocket a player with X.
Static Vehicle Robbery Criminal reward Use /rob on a parked vehicle, lockpick it, start it, and deliver it to the red blip.
House Robbery Cash or drugs Enter with N at a house icon, steal an item, then deliver it to the truck blip.
Store Robbery Criminal reward Aim at the shopkeeper to rob the store.
ATM Robbery Criminal reward Use /robatm.
Armed Robbery Cash, drugs, or materials Join an active `AR` by aiming at the robbery ped.
Criminal Events Cash, RP, and sometimes drugs Join the active `CE` with /ce.
Van Heist Criminal reward Part of the `CE` cycle. Criminals hijack and deliver a van.
Drug Running Drugs Start on an allowed bike, pick up drugs, and deliver them.
Drug Trafficking Drugs Use a boat, load drugs at the dock, deliver them to the sea marker, then return.

House Robbery rewards

House Robbery can give:

  • $1,800 to $3,500 cash and `120 RP`
  • or `40` to `60` drugs and `120 RP`

Armed Robbery rewards

The base `AR` reward is:

  • $34,500
  • `100g` of a random drug except weed

Some `AR` spots pay materials instead:

Gangster income

Gangster income mainly comes from turf systems and gangster-side activities.

Method How it pays
Turfing Turfing gives money, `Oil`, `Iron`, or `Drugs`.
Briefcase Pick up the briefcase and run it on foot to the van blip.
LS Hijack mission Join gangster side in `LS`, enter the hijack vehicle, and deliver it.
Weed Farm Harvest weed, then sell it through `F7`.
Group rewards Gangsters can also make money from group rewards.

F7 trading

`F7` is one of the biggest money systems in CIT.

You can sell many items through `F7`, including:

  • resources
  • drugs
  • weapons
  • ammo
  • crafted items
  • `VIP` hours
  • `VIP` levels
  • tag colors
  • house slots

If you list an item at the minimum price:

  • `AI Trader` buys it automatically after about `10` seconds

Crafting for profit

`F9` crafting can turn materials into items that can be used or traded.

Examples:

  • `Gold` can be sold or used for `Diamond Wedding Ring`, `Satchel`, and `Jack-o'-lantern of Healing`
  • `Meat` can be sold or used for `Meat Feast` and `Banquet`
  • mined materials can be turned into ammo, throwables, and other crafted items
  • crafted items can then be traded through `F7`

Property-based value

Houses

A house can be sold to another player.

To sell it:

  • press Z at the house
  • set the asking price
  • click Toggle House Sale

A house cannot be sold back to the server.

Basements

A basement costs:

  • $10,000,000

A basement lets you grow `Kenaf`.

Full basement output:

  • `35` plants
  • each mature plant gives `9` Kenaf
  • a full harvest gives `315` Kenaf
  • a full harvest can become `21` Kevlar for armor crafting

Important note:

  • `Kenaf` cannot be sold or transferred directly

The value comes from:

  • using it for armor crafting
  • turning materials into tradable crafted value

CITy Zones

`CITy Zones` can also be sold back to the server.

To sell a zone:

  • stand inside it
  • use /cityzonesell

Achievements and challenge money

Civilian job achievements

Many Level `10` civilian achievements pay cash.

Most give:

  • $1,000,000

Exceptions include:

Each correct Maths Trivia answer gives:

  • $5,000

Event rewards

Race

Race pays money and also gives winnings in parts.

1st Full prize and `12` part-type winnings
2nd `75%` of the prize and `9` part-type winnings
3rd `50%` of the prize and `6` part-type winnings
4th `25%` of the prize and `3` part-type winnings
5th `25%` of the prize
6th and above $4,000

After hitting the earn limit, uncapped reward events include:

Translator

Translator work pays:

  • $200 per character, including spaces and punctuation

Beginner money path

Good beginner job choices include:

  • `Trucker`
  • `Farmer`
  • `Miner`

Some starter examples:

  • `Trucker` can pay about $800 to $2,400 per delivery
  • `Farmer` can pay about $1,200+ per harvest
  • `Miner` can pay about $1,000+ per trip

Tips

  • use `VIP` hours to increase payouts on some jobs
  • use `F7` to sell resources and tradable items
  • use `F9` crafting to turn materials into more valuable items
  • after hitting the earn limit, switch to uncapped reward events
  • jobs, trading, and events together are stronger than relying on one method only
